2:08 That one I've rationalized as Joy being overprotective of Riley's core memories to the point of not wanting to let them out of her sight or reach for more than a second.
Here are two mistakes you missed: 1) At the very beginning, despite the blurriness, Riley's mom is clearly wearing her glasses, but when baby Riley first opens her eyes, the glasses are gone. 2) When Sadness plays the core memories near the end, the ice skating memory that Joy played in place of a dream is played instead of the memory where Riley admitted to breaking a plate with a hammer even though the ice skating memory was clearly not a core memory.
+Bob The Peach Actually, this topic is hotly debated in cognitive science. Memory isn't a concrete thing, and it's becoming more and more common for people to remember events from a third person perspective, which some believe may be due to the ridiculously high amount of visual media the most recent generations digest, as well as a huge influx in selfies. I hope those words weren't too big for you.
You forgot one movie mistake. Fear brings out a load of hockey memories and tries to use them as core memories, right? Where did he get them from? As far as we know, Riley hasn't played hockey since before she moved to San Fransisco. The only way Fear could've gotten those memories is if he went down to long-term to get them himself because I highly doubt those workers/Fear would've sent them up/asked for them without finding/asking about Joy and Sadness.
Another one was how did fear not quit the same way how joy and sadness did like it worked for them but i didnt work for fear so thats a mistake he/she forgot
@@AlexGoodwin771 Idk man I made this 3 years ago LOL but from what I remember they would type the memory into the console not sure how that works 🤷🏼♀️
I don't agree with the last one, lot's of times i've had dreams or thought of my past and imagined it from a 3rd persons point of view and not my own. It's just the way a lot of people think.
OsmanMeow Some of the mistakes I saw weren't really mistakes. Take fear not being able to get out... that wasn't a mistake, if he got out the movie would be completely different.
If Joy were to send the core memories up, then another emotion would have to touch them to put them back in the core. If that would happen you could imagine that they would turn that emotion.
Movie house isn't English, he/she is a different language. Don't be so harsh. You wouldn't like it if _I_ corrected all your misspellings, now, would you?
Another mistake: nearing the end of the movie, when joy gave sadness the core memories which turned sad and she played each individual one, the last showed riley and her parents skating and holding hands. That was not a core memory, the one that was suppose to be in place was the one for honesty island which is riley admitting she broke something with the hammer. Although, I do understand why they changed it because that fit the theme of that particular scene. Just pointing it out.
+Puppy Of The FanWings Like 5 and 18 are really huge... I noticed 18 immediately, but didn't notice 5 until now. Really, though, someone should proof watch these. Actually, 18 was in a dream, so maybe her mouth was above her eyes..
i found another mistakes, when joy, sadness, and bing bong make riley awake from jangles, the train is already go front of honesty island. When honesty island collapse, the train is behind the honesty island
Another mistake that I noticed is that when Joy and Sadness leave headquaters in the tube on 4:50, Sadness doesn't turn the core memories blue. But when Joy and Sadness see another tube and try to get back to headquarters, Joy won't let Sadness go with her because she would make the core memories blue.
Explaining the 3rd person perspective, memories are actually believed to be reconstructions of the event, more than a videotape being replayed. Memories would end up being altered because of this, and could quite easily be seen from a different perspective from when originally stored in Long Term.
I'm sorry I am late, but the point was that the memorys were now sad because they moved away. They were changing because of that. Fear holding them would have made no difference
2:12 smart but here’s the thing; So you know how if sadness touches the core memories they turn blue and sad? Well let’s say joy did think of that and she send them up there, the other emotions have to touch them to put the core memories back in their place, so if they touched memories, the core memories would turn a different color, making the memories have to different emotions ;-; but that’s just my theory and yes sorry it’s long 🙃
Thing is, Riley was sad about leaving her home. So that is why her memories turned blue when Sadness touched them. If Fear, Anger, and Disgust touched them, nothing would happen, because Riley did not need those emotions at that time, she needed Sadness. Think about it. After Sadness touched that memory with the dinosaur incident and it turned blue, Joy touched it, but could not turn it back to Yellow. It was because Riley needed Sadness, not any of the others. So nothing would happen to the core memories if Fear, Anger, and Disgust touched them.
+Gameboy_ 41 But Joy and Sadness accidentally left, but fear was trying to quit and Disgust told him that emotions can't QUIT, different from accidentally LEAVING
I have something weird to tell... Well not sort of a mistake but quite mysterious.... When Joy goes down into that black void (actually filled with faded memories) and sees that memory ball when ppl try to sympathize the girl, she almost cries.. Wait *she cries!*. Does this mean she also has emotions in her head controlling her? Which in turn have their own emotions in their head? And even more emotions? Who said nothing is smaller than atom?!!!
I've been thinking about why Joy didn't send the core memories back to HQ like the workers sent the memory with the gum commercial, and the only explanation I could think of is...maybe it didn't cross Joy's mind to do so? It may not seem likely, but it is possible. It at least help me look past this plot hole.
Or maybe Joy having trust issues, remember a scene where three of the emotions were randomly pressing the controllers which cause Riley to be more nervous? Maybe that's the reason. And since Sadness can also turn the memory core's colors, the other emotions can do it too
For number 5, it was said in an interview that Joy didn't just send the core memories up because she thought bringing the memories back was a journey she had to make herself.
+Movie House just Justice early sorry about videos because yeah like don't know do do what do do I don't know anyway bit chest chest chest bi-polar Peppa Pig
+Tiana Pi Tesr I agree. who cares about the tiny mistakes that barely anyone can see?! it's like the people making the video wanna take away Disney and Pixar viewers so annoying •_• ×_×
I think the reason why she didn't want the core memories back to headquarters by using the tubes is that when it was sent back, it has to be put back to its compartment by fear, disgust, or anger, so it woulf be touched by them and the emotions in these memories would change, and Joy didint want that to happen.
The reason why Joy didn't send the core memories through the tube is because she couldn't trust anyone to take them back except herself. That's what the creators of the movie said. Those mistakes aren't a big deal to me, this movie was amazing and had me in tears.
Some parts in the movie you mentioned in this video, I've NEVER even saw it in the real movie! Was I watching on the wrong website? UGH I'm confused can someone help?
I noticed when I was watching the movie when Joy and Sadness crash onto the window. Fear and Anger and Disgust try to help them and they can't. Then Disgust realizes she could burn the window with Anger. Once Anger gets angry enough Disgust picks up but out of no where she has a mask to protect her from the fire and it is pretty obvious she didn't go anywhere.
Color of the chord changes because the lighting. In the second shot we're seeing the side with shadows. Bag disappears, because it's out of the shot. Count the number of planks on the wall, it is 3 planks away from the laptop screen, in the second shot, we only see 2 planks away. The tooth thing is a joke about how dreams don't always make sense. Things appear out of nowhere, we are looking at it from two different angles. In the first shot, the pile of debris is blocking the stuff infront of the blue striped umbrella. In the second shot, we're at a different angle, and the debris is no longer blocking the stuff under the umbrella. The third person perspective was most likely a carefully thought out aesthetic choice. The scene wouldn't be as emotionally effective if we don't see all the little nuances of her body language and movements in these memories. Everything else seems pretty legit, though I think the green and yellow umbrella disappearing might also be related to the camera angle changing.
you forgot one that I didn't miss, remember when Joy and Bing Bong fell and joy is trying to climb up there and Bing Bong is trying to stop her then she stopped then she sat down then cried? well, Bing Bong is actually in front of her while she is climbing then when Joy sat down Bing Bong is behind her.... (just watch it again then you'll know :3)
Well, after Joy stopped trying to climb, she heard Riley crying in her blue core memory and looked to her left to see it, then she walked over there to it. So Bing Bong was behind her.
A lot of these are actually pretty good. Most of the time it has to do if they skip a frame, or the perspective of it. A lot of the frames have still been the same, The one with card, you can see them about to move it before the frame changes.
I love this. I never seen those. But I did see something that did notice: If Joy and Sadness exit Headquarters by the tubes without making the memories sad, then why at the end of the movie Sadness can't go in the tube with Joy because she makes the memories sad? Did anyone notice that?
The 13th Mistake is wrong because Joy and Sadness were forcibly sucked out of the Head Quarters but Fear wanted to quit the whole job, so he wasn't allowed to do so.
How about the fact that Sadness has read all of the manuals they have at headquarters but couldn't read the Danger Keep Out sign when they try to take a short cut and nearly get killed?
Did anyone notice that the scene where joy and sadness got sucked up the were no memories but when fear wanted to leave it was full of memories in the memory section
It is understandable that the memory is in third person because sometimes when you dream things that will be in third person it's not always in first person but most of the time it is but with me I see dreams in third person only so maybe her memories are in the format of third person because they're stored as dreams
The core memories being sent back?! NOOOO, they would have to move them into the core memory slot but if one was to touch them other than joy they would change emotions so they couldn't be sent back
The last one isn't a mistake, many people see their memories on 3rd person. Also Riley's teeth were falling down from her eyes, because it was a dream... Workers don't appear out of nowhere you can clearly see them. And Fear couldn't leave, because all the memories hit on him i-
The last one: well, there are other memories in third person shown in the movie. What made me confused about this one in particular was that it was shining red, which is Anger's color. But it's a happy memory, so it should be yellow
