Yeah just having a secondary block other than each theme's default ground that isn't destructible by bombs and whatnot would have been huge for aesthetics.

3:19 It's because Mario is wall-jumping off the hidden block above the spikes, not the spike tile itself!

The blue blocks don't only appear on spike traps. They also appear on hard blocks.

you can see the offscreen blocks better when using clear pipes in the 3d world design. i know u chose spike block because it works in every version, just adding to it here ^^

Dear Smashy, I am Mr. Fusion Man. I come to offer you the knowledge of Fusions. In Versus Mode, Fusions are very common. You get a Fusion when 1 character (Mario, Luigi, etc.) Fuses with either another character, or another object. For example when multiple characters reach the flag in the New Super Mario Bros. or Super Mario 3D World game mode, you often times see a Fusion. There are many types of Fusions, even my profile picture is one, (with the colors inverted.)

No, it's actually because Mario is wall-jumping off the hidden block above the spikes, not the spike tile itself!

The Spike Block is continued by a series of off-screen blocks above and below the screen as opposed to actual spikes

@@IvanFranco120 Hidden Blocks do not continue above the screen as you can jump over them. So no it does not apply on them but I am pretty sure it applies on Ground Blocks, Hard Blocks, Pipes and Clear Pipes. For the later two you can the see the offscreen block due to 3DW camera angle.

The offscreen blocks appear for other blocks such as the pipe.

im pretty sure the first one is wrong. it has to do with keys and coins having a hitbox with 1 extra pixel on the left side

Not sure if you made a video with this one or not (This is my first time viewing your channel) but if you press/tap and hold and piece in the Level Editor, it pins that piece and won't be automatically removed

For the blocks above the spikes you don't need the spikes. You can see them without the spikes. Just make you use the clatter sound effect. For 3d world you see them normally.

The Monty Mole 'secret' says a lot about how Monty Moles work. Also, why does the offscreen block have a sprite for each game mode if it's not supposed to be seen?

I already knew about the second SM3DW flagpole, the 2-tile ground-pound (but not this way), the ducking Link sprite, the Monty Mole running away when playing dead, the pipe on P-switch trick, the blue blocks above the spike tiles, the off-screen spike wall-jump, the fireball that can be stopped when Mario bonks into a ceiling, the backwards clown car thing, and the hidden block that Cape-Mario can activate from above. The rest of them I didn't know.

I was thinking of those secret off-screen blocks as basically being "bedrock" Instead of a tile blocking the bottom of the world for the player, they're blocking the top of the world

0:07 Not actually true. Mario’s hitbox gets much shorter, so even though it widens slightly, it’s still smaller overall.
