Having visited, I would not list Honolulu. Too expensive, too crowded. Probably one of the least desirable locations in the Hawaiian islands. Don’t like winters, however, the Iowa, Nebraska, Wisconsin, and North and South Dakota locations are much more affordable and good places for peacefulness!
I agree. Honolulu is the L.A. of the Hawaiian islands. No thanks. If I ever considered Hawaii, it would NOT be Honolulu. I also agree with Iowa, Dakotas, Nebraska, Wisconsin - VERY good, however the winters are a negative. I grew up in South Dakota.
I grew up in SD. If it were not for the winters we would move there in a heartbeat! We are retired. Thinking more of the Carolinas or Tennessee. Washington state is getting very expensive and nutty if one is a conservative, which we are!
As a life long CA resident, I can't see how any city here can be on this list. How can one feel at peace when you are being raped financially to live here. I noticed no mention was made regarding the cost of living in any of the CA locations, the crime, the homelessness, the insanity of the liberal /democrat policies that reduced this state to resemble some third world country. So may question to you: did you get some kind of a "kickback" from the democrat party to push this laughable nonsense and or maybe you yourself are a liberal voting for this mess?
