Sequoias are the largest tree in the world by volume, while Redwoods are the worlds tallest. Their habitats are different, Redwoods live near the coast, while Sequoias live in subalpine regions of California. Both are members of the cypress family. Sequoias (3.2k years old) usually live longer than the Redwoods (2.5k years old). The Sequoias, Sequioadendron, & Metasequoia are redwoods subfamily genera.
I've seen the giants of Kings Canyon and the coastal redwoods. Amazing. I've also gone many times to see a small grove of giants a few miles from Foresthill on mosquito ridge road going toward Hellhole. not a lot of people know about this grove. they are wonderful giants.
The paper birch also grows in the NF UD where the bark was used by the native peoples for every thing from cooking pots to the skins of canoes. You missed the torry pine which only grows in a very small area of Southern California
Manchinnel, Sandbox (Dynamite) trees and Poisonwood are all found in very south Florida and the Florida Keys. One 101 ft Sandbox Tree is found in the Flamingo Gardens in Davie Florida near Ft Lauderdale. All very dangerous trees
Trees are living, thinking and feeling beings. They possess wisdom if the ages and communicates with other trees and creatures. Think of that next time you carve its bark or cut it down.
Silver birch are also found all over northern United States. It is not confined to Europe and Asia as stated in this video. Starting to think a child created this.
