I'm a first-time viewer. Love the idea of 20 bowls of pho in 72 hours, per city, and in a single video. As a pho enthusiast, I have some disagreements but to each their own. I hope you do more of these in each city. I am so thankful for your creativity.

Really appreciate and enjoyed this video! Totally agree on OBAO and 5ive Spice. Going to try Banh now!

You should do eating 20 bowls of ramen in NYC in 72 hours. And also another video with 20 different pizza slices to see which place has the best one. 👀

Your first mistake is staying in Manhattan, if you want better more authentic viet food go to Elmhurst, or even flushing or Jackson heights, Queens > Manhattan

You go to Ha Noi House and find it wierd that they serve you Ha Noi Pho. Northern Vietnamese don't put many garnishes in their Pho and usually don't eat their Pho with Sriracha or Hoi Sin Sauce.

I am surprised that you said pho bac was not authentic. If anything, pho bac means northern pho, the north Vietnam was basically the birthplace for the very first pho dish in the world, anything else it just variation; and it is known for not having any garnishes, sauce or whatnot. The pho that you have been exposed to was probably southern pho, which has a ton of other things inside.

Just went to Hello Saigon. I also felt that the broth was “sweet”. But my hypothesis is that they add tons of MSG/umami to their broth. First taste of the soup was great, but overpowering. Which restaurant do you think had the deepest flavor and dirtiest broth?

I've always been convinced eating so much of the same dishes in a short timeframe really makes it hard to differentiate the best ones

Nha Trang One is my go to bowl of pho in the city. I'm sure it doesn't compare to the ones in Texas or Cali but it's one of the best in the NYC/NJ area.

This was a great video! What I came to realize is that pho in NYC doesn’t look too good and looks most restaurants are some sort of fusion. $18 pre tax and tip for a bowl is concerning 😳

He said madam vo had green onion garnes that you dont see in pho…. I’ve always eaten pho with green onions in the broth and they serve it like that in hanoi. Overall, love the video and love how this guy comes up with the names pho the shops lol

You missed the best Banh Mi in the world at Saiguette. It’s absolutely insane. I live in Europe and go to Saiguette every time I’m in NYC.

You're Vietnamese and you don't recognize the last restaurant is Chinese cooking Vietnamese food. No Vietnamese restaurant would put up Chinese letters in their restaurant window. Reading the menu I see Dimsum and that's Chinese but their sign says Vietnamese & Japanese cuisine. BTW you're the first Vietnamese to eat Pho and you don't squeeze the lime. If you don't use it you should take it out of your bowl. Lime skin can lightly cause damage to the broth esp. when it's hot. I really doubt your expertise in Pho even though you have Vietnamese background.

There is great pho in Flushing. You are unnecessarily limiting yourself.

Wow. This is a terrible review. You cannot distinguish between Hanoi and Saigon pho. As your elder, you failed. This is not a genuine review since both South and North are very different and come from a very specific set of criteria. Maybe you shouldn't be about New York. Maybe you need to be about visiting your home country to see the difference.

You lied. The Banh pho is not the best. I tried it and it didn’t taste anything special. It’s an average bowl of pho. Other dishes are good but not the pho
