Thank you for a very entertaining cooking video. The recipe is authentic and I appreciate the tip about dissolving mắm ruốc in water to get a clear broth. You're so cute and your parents are very "chịu chơi"! Looking forward to more videos.
This is one of the best RU-vid videos I’ve ever watched. The family dynamics reminded me of a past when my family gathered in the kitchen to make tamales. Miss those days.
You and your family are so adorable. And thanks for documenting all these Vietnamese recipes. When I ask my mom how to make something, she usually has trouble telling me the measurements and ends up just saying "add a bit of this" and "add a bit of that". Which is probably why the first time I make something, it never tastes the way my mom makes it. 😅
thank you so much! it is such a struggle deciphering my parents cooking since they eye ball everything, but it has been a fun time learning their recipes!
You got a cute family. I'm thankful for this video because my son Michael just ask me last week to teach him how to make Bun bo Hue. This video saved me a lot of time. I just forwarded to him and be done 😀. Your bún bò Huế looks very delicious 😋. Good team Mama and son 👍
Good job learning from mom 👍, I used to cook with my mom from 12 years of age and some of my friends would laugh at me and make fun of me. Now I know how to cook and they still need instructions on how to boil a hot dog 🌭
Looks very legit. I loved how not contrived this video is with che walking back and forth in front the camera :) Your mom is so adorable! And your dad is hilarious!! You got a new fan.
Great video mom and son in the kitchen cooking this delicious soup 💕 Thank you mom for teaching us This soup you both did such a great video together! And dad thank you so much for very nice demonstration too 😄 Looks so good 👍 You're a good sport dad even though your soup is cold now 💓 Yes I do not eat any blood at all
Thanks for the video. I did BBH yesterday. Next time I'll use some of your techniques like mixing shrimp paste with water overnight, and seasoning pork hock/feet !
Mom, you are incredible! Outside of California and a few other places here in the states, it is hard to find a place that makes good traditional Pho, and most of those places don't even serve Bun Bo Hue. And good luck finding a place that serves Ca Phe Sua Da in the traditional way with the mini-percolator, Soda Chanh, Soda Xi Muoi, and other tasty treats of Vietnam! I miss it so much, I'm going to have to drive all the way to Houston from my house to get me a delicious bowl of Bun Bo Hue, unless I can Amazon myself some of these ingredients. But, of course, the only thing I'll be missing is a Vietnamese mom. Well, maybe in the next life!
Hey I like to tell you that I really like your recipe for the pandan honey comb cake it came out nice and perfect ! I tried 3 times with other recipe failed送disappointed finally I found 有人recipe thanks for sharing really appreciated Also I read about other comment that you call it Cow cake is nothing wrong about it so just Igor it you are the best BP. HAM. Your recipe is the best your mom and Dad are good cook too
Mmm… looks tasty! I learned how to cook from my mom but unfortunately I didn’t learn this dish her style. Our Mom’s are the best cook in our lives and I can’t wait to make this for my son. Thanks for sharing your recipe aunty and the family for the cute and funny video!
I'm Filipino and I'm making this Bun Bo Hue noodle soup tomorrow for the first time. Thanks for this very detailed recipe. Also, your family is so cool! Subbed.
you and your family are so cute. your mom talks in Viet like she doesn't realize there are vietnamese viewers. 😄 she is brave though. I like your Dad's humor, he's my guy.
Just had an ethereal bún bò Hue in Nice, France at Pho Paganini LOL & the trotter was so flavourful (infused with lemongrass) that I had to find the BEST bbh recipe on the net & chance upon your channel. I guess the extra work of boiling the trotters separately is the key! Super cute Pham fam. Keep up the good werk!
The Pork trotters has a lot of collagen and that’s what makes it vicious or gelatinous. That’s what the mom was saying in Viet in case people wanted to know.
