Personelly the presets are not as much as what I've wanted them to b, but the flexibility and possibility to develop a new tone is unlimited.

I love my GT 8. Everybody praises my tone, specially the brutal metal distorsion I built and molded for two years of EQ tweaking. Imagine the things I'd do with a GT 1000...

I would still prefer the Zoom G5N! Great tones and is affordable too. Probably the only effects processor giving competition to the Boss GT-1000 at such a cheap price. I got it for about 22,000 rupees ( $400) . I absolutely love it !

3:56 still don't know why people think indie rock is something like punk rock. Usually indie rock tones are reverb, delay, and some compresión. Please listen to: Gus Duperton, Boy Pablo, or mostly known Mac DeMarcó. They're aren't the greatest icons of music (except mac, Mac is love, Mac is life, lovehimordie) but they are indie rock and their tones doesn't have anything from punk rock and less the rhythm pattern. BTW: my English is bad cause actually I don't speak English. I'm a Spanish sub, anyways I love your channel, Music Is Win is my favorite though. Great vid ;)

Still sounds like a Boss pedal.. which is what it is. Great bedroom quality stuff that you could record with if you had to.. Great playing and great use of the product though. Glad music is paying your bills and affording you cool opportunities to try/score gear! I'm not a patreon or a customer or yours in anyway so what I say doesn't really mean shit.. but I always enjoy your videos dude. As a guitarist, as a music fan, as a gear and tone fan.. list goes on. A little bit of jealousy every time in the sense that i did not make the decisions I needed to or should have made to be in a similar position, but coming from a place of respect. Continued compliments man.. content is fun and easy to watch, playing ia always spot-on (you're a killer) and you have a brand of humor that I dig. I will be cheering you on as time goes on. I am glad that my kids, once they really start to fall in love with music, will have access to a teacher like you. There aren't many and there needs to he more!! Maybe things will line up and I will eventually catch ya on the road or at a clinic to show some support. The neoclassical tone is very Micheal Romeo to me and honestly is the best tone on this pedal. At least in my opinion.

I am a long time Boss user..I have the GT-10 & GT-100, they were a great alternative to POD products. At times lacking at amp modelling but with tweaking you can great tones. I don't understand Roland's reluctance to use better DSP and to concentrate on amp modelling & 3rd party IR, this pedal is hardly a competitor to AX8 or Helix yet priced like those. Atleast Line 6 took the initiative to compete with Fractal, Kemper & Bias head and came up with a great alternative. Although AX8 has better amp modelling, helix is 90% as good sounding and much more user friendly thus a good alternative. Even Mooer GE200 has better amp models than GT-1000, it has good sound resolution but needs atleast 50 amp models to cover all grounds sonically and UI, like the GT-10.
