Question Time Stamps for Quick Reference: 0:00 - Introduction 1. 0:29 {About the Satanic Temple’s 7 Tenets} The Satanic Temple has been gaining popularity online due to their “7 tenets” they believe people should live by. Many people see these tenets as positive and morally good, and are being drawn into their organization as a result. What are your thoughts about this? 2. 13:31 {Does Isaiah Disprove the Trinity?} Does Isaiah 9:6 disprove the Trinity since it calls Jesus the Father? many Oneness/Unitarians use this verse to support Oneness/modalism. 3. 18:19 {About our Souls/Spirits} What exactly is a soul or a spirit? 4. 20:14 {Biblical Dating Advice} What things should a high school student consider while deciding if or how to date a godly woman? 5. 23:17 {Should we Always Say “God Willing”?} What does James 4: 13 mean? Should we always say “God willing” when making or talking about our plans? 6. 27:03 {About the “Doctrines of Demons”} Can you give more examples about the “doctrines of demons” mentioned in 1 Timothy 4:1? 7. 32:27 {About Becoming a Disciple} How do you become a disciple in light of Matthew 28: 19? Can you be unsaved yet still a disciple? I haven’t found the Greek word (μαθητευω) elsewhere. Seems to normally be μαθητης (ex. Acts 11: 29; 19: 30; 21:4, 16). 8. 35:12 {When we Should and Shouldn’t Witness} How do we know when to speak up about the truth of Christ vs. when not to? I am grieved by what I see being claimed as “truth” today, but I don’t want to just sit back and say “I’m not supposed to judge.” 9. 40:11 {About the Fear of God and Dinosaurs} Does the "fear" of the Lord mean "scared"? If not, why is "fear” still used in today’s Bibles? Translation problem? Confused here! And were dinosaur bones/fossils created by the devil to cast doubt? 10. 44:42 {About Denominations} Do you think denominations are a “concession” from God in that He knew we would disagree on doctrine, or is it more like differing members of the body reaching different people in different ways? 11. 48:58 {Responding to Mormon Arguments} What is your best answer to a Mormon responding to "There is only ONE God" by saying "Yes, only one God for US. Only one God we are to worship & that’s OUR Heavenly Father but there are others elsewhere"? 12. 55:29 {What is the Mark of the Beast?} What is the mark of the beast as described in Revelation 13? I’ve heard and read so many things, and I’m not sure how to make sense of it. 13. 1:03:47 {Is it Biblical? Jesus in our Hearts} Do we have "Jesus in our hearts" as believers? What about worship songs about Jesus in the room? John 16:5-10, Acts 1:9-11 and basically all of Revelation seems to say Jesus is in Heaven for now. 14. 1:08:43 {Why did God Allow our Sin Nature?} Frank Turek said (paraphrasing) that in Heaven we will have free will, but we won't sin because we won't have a sin nature. If that's the case, why didn't God just make us like that on Earth? 15. 1:13:49 {How to Comfort Grieving Friends} I lost a good friend of over 20 yrs. He was recovering from a heroin addiction. He called his parents saying he couldn't take it anymore and he shot himself. What can I say to comfort them? 16. 1:16:28 {Learning about Biblical Heroes} Some biblical characters are heroes in the faith, but not mentioned much in the Bible (people like Enoch and Melchizedek). How can I find out more about what was so special about their relationship with God? 17. 1:19:31 {About Christ’s Return} Why did Jesus mention eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building, and getting married in Luke 17? 18. 1:25:09 {About the Day of the Lord} How do you interpret the “day of the Lord”? Do you understand it as a single day, or do you see it as the whole tribulation period? People seem to have differing views on this. 19. 1:26:33 {About the Vine & Branches, Eternal Security} Just wanted clarity on John 15:1-8. Is Jesus talking about people losing their salvation? Or people walking away from Him and the faith? 20. 1:31:37 {About the LE of Mark} You've said that we should leave in the longer ending of Mark's Gospel because removing it could upset some Christians. If this is so, then should we be including things like the Comma Johanneum because removing that has upset some Christians? Where do you believe we should draw the line, and why?

This new wave Satanism reminds me of how I used to troll and goof around a lot in middle school, and during that time I noticed people were laughing at the pranks I pulled on the teachers and other students. Just in case anyone missed it “The weight of how much God loves me, the reason why I’m aware of it is because of the Cross of Christ; and when I look at my failures and my sins, and the overwhelming wickedness that I’ve committed in my life, and I look at Him coming and taking on human form and living a good life, a perfect life, but then dying and suffering the Shame for what I’ve done… the Guilt for what I’ve done being placed upon Him, the Punishment for what I’ve done being experienced by Him, Him dying and then rising again… I… This is the thing I always come back to tell me that God does love me right now and to encourage me to love others weather they deserve it or not… it’s The Cross.”

On the "If God wills..." thing. I heard a person once say that in some parts of the Middle East, people will prefix everything with "If God wills..." as a way of avoiding saying 'yes' or 'no'. So if you invited someone to dinner, they would respond "We will come if God wills." After years of living there, they discovered that this phrase usually meant one of two things: A. "I have no intention of coming, but if God wills it, I guess I'll end up there anyway. So instead of saying, 'I don't want to come', I'll just say 'if God wills'". B. "I would love to come, but if God does not will it, than something will come up to prevent me from coming." In practice, no one ever knew whether someone was coming or not.

Fear of the Lord I think is best explained in the story of Saul starting in 1 Samuel 13:8. We get an example of what fearing people means as opposed to fearing God, which helps define the term in a relatable way. To fear people is to worry that your status and security is dependant on keeping their favor, and so out of fear you prioritize pleasing people rather than pleasing God. In other words, you believe people are more powerful, and their opinions have more meaningful consequences than God's. Flip that around and you get what fear of the Lord means as opposed to fear of people.

@@HarryNicNicholas yes a realistic fear of God is not only healthy but RATIONAL. As a murder would fear the judge that has the capacity to serve justice and end their life, we should also fear a God that has the capacity to create this entire world, universe, and human life it self. A God that hates sin and says he will judge the world for it. This would be an all powerful God, yeah that’s a bit scary if you have any sense. To face God for judgement, a God that is perfect but literally has the ability to erase you, every memory of you, restart and stop time, create a planet or a burning star that is powerful enough to light the earth and provide vitamins and food for all its inhabitants, fold up the world in the palm of his hand, or rain fire and brimstone to destroy an entire city, will be very scary to say the least!!! But if you choose to accept the FREE gift of salvation that paid your debt of sin, that was Jesus’s blood 🩸 sacrifice as your whipping boy, then you have no reason to fear. But if not, you face God on your own. And you will be paying your debt when you get there. And the wages of sin are death. ..But the wages of life is also death in a sense, and we don’t have a choice of that either. We all die, don’t we. We don’t have a choice if we’re born or not and no choice to die or not. As being born or dying, Whether you want to or not, you will face a powerful God when you die on earth. Either with Jesus as your advocate, whom the Father loves and has offered you the free gift 🎁 of his salvation as payment for your sin, or your on your own.

Satanist here. While Mike was fairly accurate in listing the beliefs of the members of the church, I'm somewhat disappointed at his trolling accusations. I understand that it may give you guys comfort to think that we are just joking, but I can assure you that we are usually being very sincere when talking about our beliefs and practices. I won't lie, I have in the past used the immense terror that Christians have of anything with the name 'Satan' attached to it against them, but as I've developed my Satanic faith, I've learned that it is wiser to approach people with a sense of kindness and compassion instead. After all, normally you guys are scared of my very existence, and I don't want that. I want us to be able to be friends, and just give you guys a big ol' Satanic hug, and tell you that I'll always be here for you, even if you do believe that I deserve to be tortured for all time by your god of infinite mercy and love. So how about it guys? Wanna show me some Christian love and just hug it out? I sure do!

So I am absolutely the guy that enjoys the confrontation and debate. It is absolutely important to realize that the ability to make great arguments, when done in an aggressive or even prideful way, will be detrimental to your overall gospel message. Verbally beating people up isn't effective. For us we need to read the room and discern if we have a place to step into a debate or conversation. I have lost opportunities for the gospel by just dominating someone to aggressively in conversation. It is a thing to let the Holy Spirit lead you in. Pray continuously in this.

I want to throw in Matthew 23:9, "Do not call anyone on earth your father...". And yet the Catholic Church (and anything else like it in its Episcopacy) will grant that to be the case for its pastors. Don’t know if this will be seen, but here’s my understanding of what the soul/spirit is (please correct me if I’m off): The soul (Greek: Psuché) is the seat of our emotions, decisions, will, and personality. (1 Peter 1:9) The spirit (Greek: Pneuma) is the breath of God, and the communication pathway to Him (Proverbs 20:27, John 6:63, Romans 8:16). Our spirit sits in the middle of our soul like how bone marrow sits in joint (Hebrews 4:12) Our soul is run by our mind, which “programs” everything the soul hosts (emotions, decisions, will, personality, and beliefs). The heart is the “filter” of what comes and affects the programs of our mind, which affects our soul, which affects our communication with God (Psalm 51:10, Psalm 26:2, Proverbs 3:5, Proverbs 4:23, Matthew 6:21, Colossians 3:15 AMPC) Hope this at least brings discussion!

My opinion: A soul is a living being and, by implication, the totality of that being encompassing the heart (mind and emotions), body, and spirit. A spirit is the incorporeal component of a soul that is not subject to physical decay and that persists beyond death. @@FentonHardyFan Yes. Unfortunately, that's the nature of translation and human speech. All word definitions are fuzzy and context/personality dependent. The man could simply be lazy and avoid the responsibility of his punishment and die. Does God hate women?” My response would be “He doesn’t hate women but who are we to question God?” A rather generic response but one that I wholeheartedly believe but not sufficient enough response for the person with the question. @@TheJazzypenn God cursed the *earth* so that Adam had to work hard to get it to produce food for him and his descendants. Eve was cursed by pain in childbirth. I don't see how anyone could equate that to God hating women when Adam suffered as well! It was part of the punishment for disobedience, along with being cast out of the garden, and eventual physical death. There was also a promise given to Eve, that her Seed, the Messiah, would crush the serpent's head, which happened at the crucifixion. Because of the sin of Adam and Eve, mankind inherited a wilfully disobedient, sinful nature, which is why none of us are righteous before God, and why we need a Saviour.

@@TheJazzypenn To add a bit more in response to your question; the punishment of hell for sinning against a totally holy being such as God, is *absolutely fitting* for the crime. Sometimes people argue that hell, being everlasting, is too extreme a punishment. But, there are a couple of things to say about that. *One,* is that God is holy and infinite. Disobedience against Him is an *infinite crime* deserving of an *infinite penalty.* *Two,* is that when rebellious, anti-God people are judged by the wrath of God, the scriptures show us is that they *don't repent,* but rather curse God. So they are not only *deserving of God's wrath* because of their *rejection of God* and His Christ *on earth,* but they *continue their defiance* even in hell. We judge God based on our *own ideas* of right and wrong, but *God is not like us.* Not only does He have a *higher* perspective, *He makes the rules and decides the penalty.* If we, as His creation, find it hard to understand how and why His judgments are just, we have to *face the truth* that we just don't have anywhere near all the *information necessary* for a *correct assessment.* Hope this helps you a bit 😁👍

@Mike Winger, On the question of Soul and Spirit, before coming to Christ in my own volition (after a childhood going to church but not continuing after my teenage) and some time studying classical philosophy semi-formally, I came across a philosophical model that is picked up in many religious and philosophical traditions of what is clearest in definition by the seven-fold constitution of man. Firstly, what is your view of whether we can learn any truth (understand the truth more clearly) through other philosophies? We know that Saul, St Paul, would have been very well versed in Greek and other philosophies and it seems obvious, to me at least, that the New Testament is less Hebrew and more Greek in style. Regardless of this first question, if we see the four bodies, lower quaternary, as quarks (or whatever the smallest material we identify), electrical/magnetic energy that holds and moves matter, emotion, and desiring mind, then we can deduce that the Higher Triad may represent the divine trinity. I find the description of the body being the material and energy that forms the form we inhabit, the soul as the emotions and desiring mind, and the spirit as the divine triad/trinity then that does match quite well with the times that I read scripture. And with seven representing completeness, there is a beauty to it. It also does describe how either the higher or the lower/base controls us. This does describe the battle that we face. I am no research scholar as I have unknowingly battled dyslexia my whole life so these are observations without the rigor that you would employ.

Mike, I love your videos. You're so helpful, you mean so well, you have a really good heart, and you have a great way of sorting out through things. The only issue I had, which seems to be one of the most common issues with most Christians, is this whole God is the father God is the son God is the Holy Spirit; The father is not the son, the son is not the spirit, The spirit is not the father, and the whole other way around. Jesus said, "if you have seen me, you've seen the father." Jesus is the father, Because the father is in the son. The father is the Holy Spirit, the same way you are your own spirit. The father is all the rest of God at the same time. This is why people think Christians may worship three gods. If you separate them too much, it becomes paganism. The only part of the Trinity that really matters is the 1 not the 3. They're all one, they are all God, they are all YAHuwah Elohim. Think of my arm reaching into a cookie jar and pulling out a cookie. Would you sing my arm reached in, or would you say that I reached in? I did reach in. I did use my arm. You could see my arm is what reached in and that it was my hand that pulled the cookie out. But in reality, I reached my arm in there and use my hand to pull the cookie out. In the end it was me, even if you want to be more specific and identify the arm or the hand. In the same way God could move things on the earth. Or you can say the Holy Spirit did it. Either way it was the decision of the father, YAHuwah, And it was executed by part of him. Remember the Trinity? They're all one? So the Holy Spirit did it, the father did it because they're united in some way, even if you forget how that works. Once again, I love your videos. You were great. I love all your information. You are a great thinker! I truly love you so much, and you know how it is to want to speak your truth to someone you care about. If you read all of this, thank you

There are 2 different marks in Scripture. In the original languages, "mark" as in the mark of the beast refers to something embedded in flesh or inserted under the skin. "Mark" as in believers are marked (Ezekiel 9) refers to a seal of ownership (like wax seals on letters way back when.) Under the Roman Emperors, one was only permitted to enter the trading place to buy/ sell if they bowed to a statue of Caesar. No one's going to take the mark 'by accident. It will be a conscious decision and will have similar consequences for Christians as in the days of Rome.

Soul: Mind, Will, and Emotions. This is you, your makeup, your personality. Spirit: The connection between you and the spirit world. Without being saved, the Spirit is dead, and you have no, or a corrupt connection to the Spirit world. Once you are saved, your Spirit comes alive and is supposed to latch onto the Holy Spirit. This is why you have life after death. You Spirit takes your soul with it into your new glorified body. In some places in the Bible these terms are used interchangeably, and need to be determined which they are by how they are described.

Because, as long as they trust the cult leader, they will defend him or her and their false doctors. There was nothing that was ever said to me mattered until I saw inconsistency in the leader. For me, she showed herself as wrong on a few things, and that caused me to start doubting her doctrines , within about a year, I allowed myself to actually consider deeply the possibility of leaving. What i think 23:17 is saying is that you shouldnt put off or procrastinate when it comes down to abstaining from sin or such but rather do what it is the lord wants you to do NOW. For example basically right now i suffer from porn addiction, when it comes down to turning away from it like the lord wants from me. I say stuff like "ehh ill try tomorrow" and just dive deep into my temptation not worrying about the mere fact that im sinning and how offensive it is to the lord. The mere idea that "oh I'll try to abstain tomorrow" is foolish because how do i know if I'll be around Tomorrow, how do i know I wont die while sinning, how do i know that wont put it off tomorrow, or the next day or the next day after that? To me i see it as "act in accordance to the Lords will NOW, because you're not promised a later or a tomorrow"

In regards to the Trinity doctrine you were talking about at around 18 minutes, I believe the idea of the Trinity, God is in Jesus Christ, holds up in that verse based on the fact that The Father is in The Son, like it says in John chapter 13. Jesus said, "of you have seen me, you have seen the father." So it would make sense if Messiah was called Father. It shows that The Father is in The Son, but the father is also in the Holy Spirit!

Satan doesn't care if you believe in him. He's all about results. The tragic irony is that these people, by being "Philosophical" Satanists, are accidentally actual Satanists. "We don't believe Satan exists...we just end up serving his purposes, furthering his agenda, and doind his work for him." They think they are too smart for and are above believing in such things as supernatural evil, yet they are actively acting out his worldview and program on their own initiative better than any real Satan-worshippers probably would. They are worse than the caricature they use to mock us. Do you think Satan cares about the blood of goats or Latin imprecations around black candles? He wants moral decay, decadence, and chaos. If only they *were* a bunch of loonies going around performing arcane rituals to a dark master, at least then they would be on the right battlefield. These people are accidental combatants in a war they don't even think exists. It's like (spiritually speaking...I'm not insane) Al Qaeda giving automatic weapons to American civilians and getting them to go around blowing people away by saying that they are really just airsoft guns and that "war" doesn't really exist, so...have fun! They don't believe in terrorism, but they are awefully good at it. Likewise, these folks don't believe in the existence of Satan, they just happen to be really good at living according to his actual priorities rather than the cartoon version of evil the Satanists use in their mock "rituals." Which seems more like something the actual Biblical Satan would prefer? A) A virgin sacrifice (i.e. performing the death of a single person who either doesn't believe in God anyway or is just getting promoted to Heaven if they do believe, while being forced to admit to the existence of objective and supernatural Good and Evil) Or B) Increasing the worldview in which millions of people live their lives apart from God, and following their own prideful will, resulting in millions of deaths through the devaluation of human life itself, while simultaneously mocking and underminning the Gospel of Salvation and the vessel of Christ in the world, the Church. Satan is more than willing to be a laughed at and used as a petty symbol rather than a real being as long as more people end up in Hell. He doesn't mind being insulted as long as the insult to God is greater and more effectual.

For an interesting view on the mark of the beast. Look up chuck misler's view about this. Not a definite answer but a resource that uses textual possibilities. Brief summary the mark is not a number but acceptance of a false religion.

I haven’t read the resource you referenced, but I had wondered myself if the mark in the hand or forehead was actually just that, a false religion. In the forehead, meaning, taken on its values, it’s mores, in thought and desire. In the hand because they do the deeds of the beast system. All knowingly doing so that it is for the beast. I’m wondering though, could people be fooled by whom the beast is? I see how common it is for people to love all kinds of worldly, terrible things. They KNOW they’re not acting in Gods will. Many openly hate Christ. But what about those who claim to follow Christ, but still worship the beast nonetheless in thought and deed? Are they willingly taking on this “mark” if it were indeed a religion or belief system, but not fully aware that is what they are doing? In other words, can they be fooled into it by claiming to follow Christ but actively choosing to live according to worldly dictates?

Looking at what you said, I think it is a good example of what the mark could be. Yes most people are blind to who or what the beast truly is. Throughout history many have had a false view of who Jesus truly is. All of those people have only God to answer to for their faith and actions. True believers can be found in any religion that shares a incorrect view of Christ. By focusing on the Biblical Jesus and not the Jesus of tradition is how believers know where their hearts lay. I would suggest taking the time to look at church history to see the many ways that Believers have made incorrect interpretations.this will allow you to see where others have erred so that you do not make the same mistakes. I pray for all those who are seeking a true relationship with their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

I have a theory that the mark of the beast is actually the practice of opening the third eye, the pineal gland. It’s a common practice in “new age” practices like yoga, law of attraction and meditation. The pineal gland is located between the eyes, the forehead. Once it’s opened, people often get a “spiritual awakening”, which allows demons to enter.

Mike Winger - I believe that the (3) aspects or essence of a Man being Body, Soul, and spirit are merely interfaces in how we relate to the (1) material world around us (through our body), (2) how we relate to other souls/people (relationships/fellowship), and how the spirit relates to God (by our regenerated spirit connected with the Holy Spirit). If we look at it this way, it makes good sense; We all are born with a body, soul, and a dead spirit that is disconnected from God. Our spirit is what needs to be regenerated in order to be connected with God (The Holy Spirit). And when we are connected through regeneration, the Holy Spirit witnesses to our spirit that we are children of God. (Romans 8:16)

My father told me that satan loves moral he just wants those morals away from God. (Warping what God says is good for what the world deems as good)

Exactly, it even says in 2 Corinthians 11:14 that the devil "disguises himself as an angel of light" - that's exactly what I thought when reading these tenants. They're not necessarily wrong - they are mostly good and a lot of the philosophy behind the tenants are found in the Bible as prescriptive scripture! But the devil is using that as a front for something evil and wicked e.g. to deceive people and lead them away from God (1 Timothy 4). Heck, even the atheist that wrote those tenants don't know they are probably being used as puppets.

That's not really true though. Satan presents morals apart from God because humans have a natural inclination for morality. Every society in the world have a sense of morality and justice. So it's easier to lead people to reject God if you can convince them that the thing they are looking for is not connected to God. Satan pushes people to kill, lie, steal, rape, torture... there is nothing moral about those things. If he liked morality he would not do that.

I would love to listen to a talk between you and Gerald Morgan Jr. (of Louder with Crowder fame). I think it would be a good discussion and would confuse audio only listeners, because they speak very similarly and have almost the same voice.

Great video. Also Isaiah 9:6 says that “His name” not names. Will be Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, prince of peace. It’s a Trinitarian name just like (Baptist them in the “name” of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit” not names. ❤️

I guess the song Mike is referring to at 20:47 is "You and me" by Lifehouse. It has this part in the bridge which goes like "Everything she does is beautiful Everything she does is right"

I know my question isn't about Satanism but Mike what are your thoughts on Christian nationalism? Is it pretty much the same as the 7 mountain mandate theology or doctrine? Or do you have a video on that subject? Thank you for all your good wisdom.

We can have both. Here are two points to ponder: 1: A lot of Satanists (including myself, though I am not a member of the Temple) are former Christians, sometimes raised that way. We embrace and enjoy the blasphemous look and actions of Satanism--at least as Christians see them--because they are a sign of rebellion against something that we no longer hold to and that has hurt us. That's why some of us burn bibles, or do black masses and what not. I can't speak for everyone, but I've heard multiple Satanist say that. It's very similar to, say, a deconverted Muslim woman who was raised her whole life that her body is something to be covered and ashamed of. Then she embraces herself and gets lots of tattoos and adopts wild hairstyles. She might enjoy freaking out other Muslims a bit, as a former Muslim, but a large part of why she does that is a sense of rebellion and embracing her freedom to be herself. 2. We do embrace rationality, and that is not incompatible with making people uncomfortable. Read the Satanic Temple's seven tenets. One of them includes the right to offend. Sorry if that makes you uncomfortable. That's not their problem. One of the bible's rules is that women be quiet while being taught, and to be submissive to men (Timothy 2:11-12). That makes me uncomfortable and I refuse to follow it. People follow incompatible rules. The tenets are about treating people fairly, promoting freedom, and pursuing a better world for everyone. Mike's sketch was actually quite vapid and didn't make any sense.
