Number 1 - Learn how to invest. It will alter your life more than anything on this list except for possibly working out. Number 2 - Work out. Number 3 - Learn how to fight. The vast majority of times you encounter a dangerous situation you will not have a weapon on you. Number 4 - Start your own business. You will be in charge of your own life, your own destiny and will create your own income. Number 5 - Get a good education and an even better financial education. Number 6 - Once you have learned how to invest and start a business, most if the items in this video will become irrelevant like learning how to cook, handyman skills, etc. Number 7 - I played sports growing up and could always throw a baseball and a football. Is it really necessary? Probably not, but it's nice to have. Number 8 - Learn how to dress nice and look sharp. Number 9 - Probably should have made this number 1 but here it is: Always be humble, be kind, respect others and never stop learning. Unfortunately there are some dumbass people out there that take kindness for weakness. But since you already know number 2 and 3, you'll have the situation covered when the time arises.

Excellent video!! I would add only two things... 1. Run for Public office 2. Learn a second language Running for public office isn't so much a 'skill' as it is a act that will bring many of the things you listed to bare. The benefits, even if you fail to win, will last a lifetime. Plan in traveling? Better have the ability to communicate in more than one language. I took French in college & currently taking ASL

I retired from the NJ State Police. Over the years of my career I can’t count how many times I had to teach grown men how to change a flat tire. It was funny and strange at first, but after so many that didn’t know and many of them black men who were college athletes. It became very obvious there were no men in their lives to teach them. So for me at least these brothers knew this one skill before most of them became 30 years old.

Jeff, you tackled an important set of skills every man should have by age 30. Some surprised me, such as throwing a punch, but I understand where you're coming from. I'd like to suggest two skills that have served me well. First, avoid trouble and deescalate when possible. Have the courage to walk away. Second, be able to express yourself in writing. With it, you can express yourself to a friend in a letter or report progress on a project at work. Why these two skills? While I am prepared to handle almost any bad situation, violence leads to legal issues, which can be time consuming and expensive. It is also morally wrong if you have advantages over a perpetrator. Second, I am a bestselling author of six books. Before that, I was a business owner. Writing plays a critical role in my life. I think it will serve your followers well also. Salute!

All things boys used to learn from Dad growing up, lucky for me I had the best , in my humble opinion it’s what’s wrong with so many “incomplete” young guys today(And women) Too many generations raised without a father in the house, only a real man can make a boy into a real/complete man

I would say Patience, ability to listen, and knowing when to walk away. If you can't wait for someone to finish their rant or yelling while they try to argue with you before you talk you can make the situation worse; listening as the rant/arguing/yelling is happening for key words/phrases will also help you understand their problem better, whether its what they are saying or what their not saying that's the problem,, and help you figure out how to descelate the situation and finding a solution quicker. Some people also just want to be heard so sometimes in conversations instead of butting in and saying "you think you had a bad day? (Insert your bad day.)" you just let them talk and vent. Sometimes the best way to help someone is just to listen. I myself am not always good at this but its still necessary. Think how many relationships wouldn't end because of arguments if guys/girls knew when to listen and when to stand firm. Now obviously don't do this every time or you'll become the push over friend/boyfriend or girlfriend its a line you need to walk its not insanely fine but its still there. Lastly, knowing when to walk away. Sometimes an argument is just not worth getting into. It can be a waste of time and hurt the relationship. Preserving relationships is sometimes more important than always being right. We need to know when to stand firm in our beliefs vs. Saying I'll let you believe whatever you want this isn't worth the cost. When you know how to manage these things you become someone that is undeniably better at arguing and better at being a friend/significant other. You'll also be more likeable most likely.

Heres a couple Bonus skils. 1. Learn how to perform basic maintenance on your car, like changing and checking the oil, changing wiper blades, and your cars batteries 2. Learn how to ride a bicycle and motorcycle, and also, a manual transmission in your car. 3. Learn how to talk to and physically please a woman. 4. Learn how to have fun and take care of yourself, while being responsible morally, physically, and financially. 5. Learn how to love.... everything around you.

The thrill of victory and agony of defeat. This prepares for graceful, dignified wins in life like landing a job or pulling a much desired phone number without acting a fool in the process and looking thirsty. On the other hand, learning to bow out gracefully and try again when you fail without throwing a tantrum. A lot of respect is earned and lost based on how a man controls his reaction to good and bad events.

The problem with making logical arguments is that sometimes some people don't care about logic. You need to be able to recognize those moments and know how to appeal to their emotions.
