Love Mick and Keith, loved Mick T and Ronnie is awesome. But I think Bill and Charlie might’ve been the true MVPs of the band, they were the true motor of the band.
The cornerstone of this song is Bill Wyman's bass performance. His bassline made this song a disco hit. I am a Japanese who is not good at English. Sorry for the weird English.
I assumed they'd be gone by this time, 1981, wow... They were On fire 🔥🚒 (Seriously loving the colors Mick's wearing) ...it is 2023, they're STILL going, Missing Charlie though, but still, What a band, incredibly talented!!💖
Finally! A video that shows Bill actually playing! To play that fast way up the neck on the heavy strings of a bass is not as easy as he makes it look. The secret sauce, Bill Wyman.
I love the Stones they are the best rock band in the world. Ronnie is definitely hammered and everyone else is just simply performing and having fun and enjoying the time with their fans and making sure that they have a memorable experience 🎉🎉
This Hampton, Virginia Stones Concert was the very 1st Pay Per View Ever. December 18, 1981. (Friday night. The Stones also had a Saturday night show at The Hampton Coliseum, both Sold Out).
I remember. Some kid in H.S. had the pay per view. Took one for the team this kid did. Entertained the whole H.S. Sure he suffered the consequences when the folks got back from Fla. I remember Keith whacked some kid who ran onstage with his "tele". Yeah! Rock n Roll was a fun sport 👍🏼
Bill was essential to the Stones .... Ronnie ? I can't decide if he's two concerts behind or ahead of this show, but defienetely somewhere in the stratosphere....
It's a remix look at 2:00. Stones are my favorite band since always but I find they abused with this kind of technology, they don't need that. However great and hot version here.
Ronnie did a lot of posturing, posing and gurning on this tour...but this was Keith's tour...every gig, he is working flat our the whole concert...pretty much carrying Ron. Thin Ron struggled throughout his tour for well recorded reasons.

Chris Kimsey, who engineered the recording, said Wyman went "to quite a few clubs before he got that bass line sorted out", which Kimsey said "made that song". Wyman recalled: "When I did the riff for 'Miss You' - which made the song, and every band in the world copied it for the next year. Rod Stewart, all of them" Whether Wyman used a "fucking pick" or not is not known at this stage.
Without Charlie and Bill, the Stones lost a small part for themselves. Bill and Charlie were clean sounding musicians. Keith and Ron were more sloppy or able to improvise every song. Bill and Charlie knew that and set the format for that. But, when Bill leaves and their future tours, they don’t have that anymore. Then sadly Charlie passed, I don’t see that link much anymore. It doesn’t make any of them less creative. You just had two different train engines that blended very well together. Then to have the sax and keyboards, totally the next level that stones alway achieved. Standing out while not losing their roots. Cheers guys!
