I'm 62 years old. I have 3 adult children. I have never been on a cruise. I have never WANTED to go on a cruise. I found your video by accident, and it had me searching cruises. While I was watching. Your wonderful content has perhaps created a monster. Thank you so much for your time and knowledge🌺
I'm 68 and I just took my husband for his first cruise. I have 4 kids and we did this cruise in 2003. We were the only Blacks and the ship was smaller. Boy was this cruise great. I told my children they must go. I will pay for my 5 Grandkids. Lots of partying and just fun. We had a balcony I did that for my hubby. I brought a bottle of wine and a 8 pops...no free soft drinks. I had no luggage problem. We carried drinks in cans in backpack. We enjoyed Guy's burgers Shaqs chicken and the Mexican food. It's just fun getting out and the jacuzzi. Mexico was cool...we took the tour bus to see the big hole...stay downtown drink eat and shop. We're going to Alaska next..leaving out of SF. Oh I drove from Stockton to Long Beach...I treated my husband of 5 yrs
Yall... I'm preparing for my first cruise and these costs are adding up QUICK! Prepaid gratuities. Drink packages. Excursions. Water bottles. Pictures. Special Dining. Omg... I had no idea it would be like this.
Book virgin, it’s almost all inclusive. www.virginvoyages.com/book/voyage-planner/find-a-voyage?USD%5B%E2%80%A6%5Dlors=2&agencyId=409&agentId=63894&cabins=1¤cyCode=USD&fromDate=2023-01-25&priceType=perCabin&sailors=2&sortType=date&toDate=2023-03-25
There are limitations as of December 2022 for dining room eating, you use to give them a number of how many orders of appetizers and entrées you wanted when you order but now it’s limited to 2 😢 it’ll be an a extra $5 for the 3rd and so on. My husband is more upset about this because he’s a human garbage disposal.
Thank you so much🤗 for all the cruise advice for first timers, as I've never been on a cruise but I'm going to do everything I can to try to get on atleast one 🛳 cruise either this year or next year. Tired of being stuck at home lol.
I love the energy, insight and information that the two of you have shared with us!!!! I am going on my first solo cruise that I'll be responsible for handling the affairs.
Y’all are fabulous and funny🤣!!! I love your energy! My husband and I are traveling this month on our first cruise and you guys are giving us great advice. Thanks..
The total cost is important info that most people do not consider until they see their itemized bill. There is a little blue tab that says "invoice details" under the booking that shows the true cost. For example, on our 6 day onboard the Paradise in 2023, it neglects 544 bucks for the 4 of us for taxes and fees, and another 350 in prepaid gratuities. Honestly, since these fees are unavoidable, it would be far more transparent to just add them to the total cost from step 1 so there are no surprises. 900 extra bucks can be a budget breaker for many folks, especially if they are not aware it exists.
That so called "discount price" also applies to an inside cabin, only. Of course the price will increase if you want an Oceanview, Balcony or Suite cabin
@@kweentelfon8317 yes you can pay before but you can always cancel gratuity and pay certain people who helped you but that's not paying the workers working behind the scenes
Great information! Thanks for this video - I was reading reviews and forums and other different websites but this was a good run down of all things to expect on cruise as a first timer with my parents.
I found your RU-vid while googling first time cruise tips & I subscribed immediately! I’m 26 and it’s Me & My boyfriends very first time on a cruise & going to an island!! Your tips and videos have helped us so much!! We’ve done research & have prepared but your videos are fun & very informative!! We’re on the Carnival Sunrise December 12th-17th for my boyfriends birthday!! Grand Cayman & Jamaica!! We’re so ready to turn up lol 😂 thank you for all the videos & tips! 🥰
Y'all are so cute! I just sent this to our friends who will be cursing for the first time next month. Hopefully they'll get over their first time jitters and be ready to cruise with us next year!
I’m so glad I found you guys. We’re planning a cruise 🚢 for this year with our family. We have 2 kids and we want to be prepared for our first cruise trip. 🌊 Thank you ❤
Wow, you guys are absolutely amazing, and everything you covered was explained so well. I've never been on a cruise ship before, so it'll be my first time cruising whenever I'm ready. In the meantime, I've been trying to learn as much as possible, and your channel covers all of the basics for newbies like me and so much more. I'm happy that I found your channel. You guys definitely earned my sub, and I look forward to watching many more of your educational videos on cruising the open seas.
I am in love with this Channel. I've seen many how-to video on Cruise Trip planning and you two are THE BEST. Every check box is covered, informative and ENTERTAINING. I feel like I want to party with you and hang out buddies! Lol Thank you for all the tips!
So excited to say that we followed all of your tips! We clicked your link for the fanny packs, AND I got us the lanyards for our sign and sail cards. We are officially checked in and leave port the 22nd! We printed our documents, we have picked our outfits for elegant night and my 89 years young mom in law and I are so appreciative of ALL the information you shared with us. Your personalities have me looking at your group cruises, but we have to get this one down first!! Thanks again for everything and we will tell you how it goes!!
I go on my first cruise with my family as a minor in two weeks! This really helps with my anxieties about the cruise and what I should do before. Downloaded the Carnival HUB right after finishing the video. 😂 Thanks a lot!
Former Navy and “muster” is a nautical term for gathering together usually to receive instructions, every morning on our ship we had a daily morning muster to receive orders and instructions.
I just found y’all and Just let me say thank y’all sooooo much. This video is so informative. Y’all are a barrel of laughs. I bet it would be loads of fun to hang out with y’all on a cruise. Thanks again for all the information. Hope y’all have a Blessed Day.
Going on my first cruise in a few months with my husband. Y'all are so helpful! I am glad to hear we can put cash on the sail and sign card instead of a card. I was worried about that lol.
I sailed with Carnival over 20 yrs ago while in college. We used the school's travel agency. Everything was so seamless. Your tips are right on point! Y'all got me ready for another trip now. Thanks for the info.
Instead of buying the cheers package we purchase from the cruise line two bottle of liquor plus being two bottles of wine with us plus 24 cans of juice for mixers for a grand total of $200 for 5 days so we save $600 that’s a win win for us!
Best place to keep boarding pass and travel document is in your pocket or attached to your person somehow. That's the only way to 100% guarantee you have them when it's time to board. I got into that habit when flying, and have been so thankful for that.
RU-vid put you guys in my lineup and I'm glad they did!! Not a first time cruiser but its been about 15 years since I first cruise. I'm taking my girls (17, 13 and 11) on their first cruise in October. They are super excited!! Loved the video!! You guys have a new subscriber!!
Great video! Great tips. I’ve been cruising for 10 years and still forgot to put my phone on airport mode one cruise, it cost me $200 in roaming fees. I want to mention that Carnival just changed dining policies a few hours ago, the first and second entree are free and any subsequent entrees are $5 each. And I just want to add, that in the carry-on consider adding a complete change of clothes (maybe shorts or pants, t-shirt and underwear especially if you wear larger sizes) I’ve seen too many passengers whose luggage was lost for a few days and on my last cruise…it was missing for the entire cruise.
I'm taking three of my friends on their first cruise in January and I've saved SO MANY of y'alls videos to send them. Y'all have the best cruise content!! Love you!! ❤️
This was an excellent explanation and great advice for first time cruisers. I love cruising. I'm at Port Carnival right now leaving for my cruise tomorrow. I always fly down a day before the cruise. I don't want to take the chance of something happening to my flight the day of the cruise (delayed or cancel flights) and I miss my cruise.
I love watching you guys, great video! I just booked a cruise on the Celebration in March. I’ve cruised a good amount of times so when I booked this cruise, they had an option to include the cheers package with the total price. It was only about $200 more in the final price which I think is a great deal.
So glad that with our family of 5, we get 2 rooms. My husband is able to get CHEERs and I don’t have to. Once our son stops cruising with us bc he is older and will graduate in a couple years, my husband won’t get it bc I only drink water. I may have 2-3 alcoholic drinks a day while cruising. I don’t drink soda or coffee. My husband barely drinks enough to make it worth it.
I am in love with guys. You have made my anxiety go away. Going on our first family cruise in Dec. I have so many questions and you definitely are clearing alot of questions up for me. THANK YOU ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
When I first came across your vlog my cruise was in triple digits, now I am in double. Most of the info I got from you...Thank you, enjoy the rest of your evening.
Me and my best friend are planning our first cruise trip together and this video was the perfect guide! I almost had us flying in the same day, but now I know better 😂. Also you two are so sweet, we love your energy. Can’t wait to start cruising!
I’m a first time cruiser and I’ll be going on my first cruise on “carnival conquest” next week. I really love how informative you have been and I will be looking forward to possibly booking my next cruise with you thanks so much 👏👏👏
Love all your tips and stories. So fun to watch you guys! We are going on our first cruise next April. I have major anxiety and need to feel in control. You're videos help me to feel prepared. Keep them coming!!
@@sharoncrown9545My friend and I are planning a trip on a cruise this year as well. I hate getting anxiety before a trip. I be wanting to back out of it . 😭😭
I adore y'all videos! I've learned so much watching y'all! My first cruise is May 6 and I am so nervous yet super excited!!! It'll be my first plane ride too. I'll be going with 12 family members to the Bahamas!
I think you two are awesome, I have learned a lot from yall. I am going on our first cruise in August to celebrate my 60th birthday and also our 19th Wedding anniversary. It was a gift from our children. So excited.
I didn't realize I suffer from motion sickness until it was too late. It's the worst feeling ever. Like a never stopping roller-coaster. I always put a patch on before I board any ship now.
Love y'all relationship, Black love is beautiful 💕 we need more of it.. love how positive you guys are together, keep traveling and explore the world together!!! Stay Blessed ❤️
Thank you for the very specific guideline/tip on avoiding being a pier runner. No one has ever said that before in all the years of me watching videos. My first cruise is Monday!
Taking my first cruise in January 2023 for my boyfriend's birthday. I'm excited and your videos have helped me plan and see what I might want to plan to do. You two totally rock!
