Thanks for this excellent advice, and I thoroughly enjoyed the video! I'm getting detail brushes tomorrow!

Great advice. My reason for not using warm/hot water is evaporation and the resulting water spots especially here in Oz with our sun. Don't want the water to dry until l put a towel on it. Also waxing without decon/claying my take on that is waxing/ sealant on an unclayed surface is better than no protection. Great video keep it up!

Speaking as a former janitor, ALWAYS wear gloves when you're cleaning. Seriously underrated advice for washing your car. Question: What tools do you recommend for cleaning your tires/hub caps? I live in an agricultural city so my wheels get dirty super fast!

Absolutely! There are some chemicals that I’m really sensitive to so Nitrile Gloves are a must for me. Any good wheel cleaner spray should be fine. Spray it onto your hubcaps/wheels and let it sit for a minute. Whilst it’s sitting, make sure to hit the Tyre walls with a good Multi-purpose spray and scrub them with a brush. If you don’t have a wheel brush, feel free to use a dustpan brush, they’re pretty great for this. Once you’ve scrubbed your tyres, use a detailing brush and clean the bolts in a twisting motion. Use your detailing brushes and wheel brush to clean all the nooks and crannies of the wheel/hubcap. Then rinse off. The results will be amazing. I have a video on this coming up so be sure to watch it!

Omega Detailing so i got a quick question, with regards to an iron decon, do i always have to use it on my wheels everytime i wash my car? say i wash once or twice a fortnight? Thanks again.

I wouldn’t be doing a full iron decon on your wheels, just use a standard wheel cleaner. Clean your wheels whenever necessary. I generally do mine every 2 weeks, depending on how dirty they are. PRO TIP: Make your wheels easier to clean by sealing them with an SiO2 based sealant or any other decent sealant, like Repco Ceramic Polish Made Easy. Hope this helps.

Great video as always! When I got my BA in 2011 I remember I used Armoral Wax and applied it with and old t-shit and used another one to buff it off!! Flat head brush great piece of kit. I have Futura wheels on my BA and it fits snugly but really effective with Wheely Clean. If you check out a channel called "Project Farm" he tests a lot of spray Sealents, and the Turtlewax came out number one. He has some great detailing reviews. Also Bowdens own Hapoy Ending / Fully Slick is tested on another channel and it comes out on top! I typed in "Bowdens Own Happy Ending review" and it comes up. With the hot water, I do use warm water in winter. I'm using Meguiars NXT, and soon Bowdens Nanolicious wash. Are these better used with cold water or warm is ok? I've seen the Bowdensown brushes, are they soft enough for use on paint around my badges and grill area? I'm using some cheap eBay boar hair brushes but they aren't good quality. Really enjoying the content. Good to see Australia getting on the map with detailing vids!

Hey mate. Project Farm is one of my “Rabbit Hole” channels where I’ve previously binge-watched him for hours. Watching him clean out the piston heads of the lawnmower is ever so satisfying. I never saw the detailing videos. I’ll be sure to check them out. Thanks! I’ve personally not used Meg’s NXT but I’m a big Nanolicious guy. I used Nano once back in the day with warm/hot water back in the day and it seemed to make a huge difference. However you could do what I said in the video and EXPERIMENT 😉 As far as the brushes they’re pretty soft. I’m happy using them on my Jetta’s paint and have had no issues. I also use them on my wheels which I REALLY don’t want to scratch and they’re pretty gentle on them. Thanks so much mate! Heaps more great things to come. Thanks for being a supporter. Keep it right, keep it tight.

I have! I can say it’s pretty good but it’s more shiny than matte.
