Note the following, most people in Kenya can speak and understand English. Two, on Plastic Money, VISA dominates most partner with most banks. Almost all big towns have a VISA ATM. Kenya enjoys great weather all year round and our food will always leave you with the best experience including fruits. For travelling services make use of our Matatus, Bodaboda, ordinary taxi and app based taxi which include; Taxify, Uber, Little cab etc. Also, learn more of our successful mobile money system, payment has never been easier than this. Nairobi is not a malaria zone and one will hardly fall sick from mosquito bites in Nairobi.

@@onclaudi9500 yes, I'm already in Kenya.. After so much research n reading, I found tour package which is best suited for all my go-to-places... (Nairobi, Naivasha, Nakuru, Masai Mara, Amboseli) in 7 days.. I like doing it solo n self plan but many blogs recommend to go to tour packages for savings, convenience, knowledge and time maintenance.. Currently completed Masai Mara and msging from Nakuru.. Awesome experience till now

Great Job on the Info. One more advice is when you go to crowded areas just like in most other tourist countries just be aware of your surrounding, Make sure your stuff and pockets are safe.

most if not all counties in Kenya have banks that accept visa and mastercards.. not only Mombasa and Nairobi, though it's important to consult from your guide on that. The "E" on Mpesa mode of payment is pronounced like the one on Elephant. Means Mobile Money. (Pesa is Money in Kiswahili).
Thanks a lot for your advice. What I experienced especially in the rural areas is that you might not find an ATM easily. Also some of them only accepted VISA some only Mastercard that´s why I recommended to sort out the cash in bigger cities so travelers don´t struggle if a specific card isn´t accepted.
If this is your first time I'd recommend getting a driver, there's a lot of distraction aka things to see, we drive on the right hand side of the road, ...etc
@@petermacharia7924 We just got back! I agree Uber was great for the most part! We used a combo of a professional driver for some things and Uber for others. Both worked out well! The Uber X's are quite small though so it was a bit of a tight squeeze but doable ☺️

its summer mostly all year , no winters hear. Hijacking really low never heard of such incidence, i think robbery as she said its a safe place and if u visiting a place u can always ask ur cab driver they will advice u. Indian population is also big hear so most people will just think you are a local tourist.

Hi Elena. Thank you for your message. From where to where do you have to go in between these hours? Worst traffic you find in and around the big cities like Nairobi or Mombasa. Whereas if you are in a rural area, traffic isn´t that bad. You just need to make sure if you travel by public transport that you start your trip earlier enough as most of the time the Matatus only leave to a specific area once they are full.
In fact a bodaboda is a bicycle with a cushon on the back, a pikipiki is a motorcycle. They stole the name because the bikes are very few now....But whats in a name huh....
Great! However,i disagree with the food there's more variety what you mentioned the beans, chapati with coconut is commonly at the Coast (Mombasa)...in town beans in most cases don't have coconut milk and more variety based on tribes and cultures.
@@sbr4897 you can definitely go to Mombasa without a guide. However, please make sure to ask in the place you are staying where it is safe to go and which areas to avoid as there are a few spots that aren't safe. Locals know best - so please ask your hosts which areas are safe and which are not.
Thanks for sharing some tips on pronounciation and also some important words in Swahili. For everyone traveling KEHNYA, that doesn´t know yet: If you hear "Wazungu" it means they talking about "White People". If that is the only thing that matters I am happy everyone else found my video helpful. :-)
@@onclaudi9500 We are coming to Nairobi in Dec (first time!!). We will be there for the most part then ending off in Mombasa for a couple of days. Uber seems great for couples but not necessarily for a family of five! ☺️
@@asheikh8216To be honest I am not sure if there is uber xl in Nairobi, that can fit your whole family. Since driving in Nairobi can be a mission, I wouldn´t recommend hiring a car and driving your self. What I would recommend is getting a car with a local driver. There are different options. If that is something that can be interessting for you, let me know and I can put you in touch with my friend & tourguide in Nairobi and you can work something out with him.
