Went to Mombasa as a young man back in 1974. As a sailor I have been to many places but Kenya had to be one of the greatest places I had the pleasure of visiting. Have not made it back yet but still hoping too. I hold Kenya close to my heart, and I love the people.

Kenya, the last frontier of migration and settlement . Do you realize that patterns of migration stopped in kenya . This is the reason it's a land of diversity. Only the top cream of a community generally have the courage , motivation and creativity to move forward into un charted zones. My Kenyan fiance speaks of Ugali as a primary food she eats. When I come to marry her in November of this year (2019), I cannot wait for her to teach me how it is prepared. The more I learn about the country, the more I love the people and culture. Such a diverse culture and beautiful language.

My home just overlooks the Maasai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya,FAM...everyday when I was a child we'd get out with my mama and watch the reflections of Lake Natron in the sky...Lake Natron is in the neighboring country of Tanzania...during the day we'd also get a clear look of the Snow capped Mt.Kilimanjaro... And best of all we didn't have to pay to watch the wildebeests migrating into TZ...we could watch it all from our house... Just so you know,my home is in Narok County,Kenya...and it borders Tanzania to the North and that's why we could get such beautiful views of the scenery even in Tanzania...long live Kenya!!Long live Africa!!Proud to be Kenyan...are you proud of your roots?God bless you guys!! Correction on the number of tribes in Kenya,Leroy mentioned over 70...sorry but we got only 44 known tribes...the excess are maybe sub-tribes thank you

All these statements are true about Kenya. It is such an amazing country, Unfortunately because of corruption and greed by the political class not so many Kenyans are proud and happy about their country me being one of them. Corruption has created a great disconnect between the haves and the have-nots. Almost half of the population live below the poverty line which is really disheartening

There is so much more relevant, interesting and amazing facts about this country and to watch such a video of someone claiming to have "Suprising facts about Kenya"....its so annoying. FTD Facts, your video is not wrong, its just that there are alot more suprising facts about Kenya than Maasai Shukas.
