I met Kam Chancellor once. I was 23, just moved out on my own. Went out with my new roomies for the first time. He was out with his wife and his boys. One of his boys came over to talk to us, asked us question, asked where I went to school. I told him I went to Radford University (30 min drive from VT) and he yelled over to Kam and told him. Kam said "aye we're neighbors". Tbh I ended up having such fun night with my friends I kind of spaced out, but I remember buying Kam a drink and he bought us a drink. I remember talking about Torrey Smiths charity basketball game with him. The next day I thanked him for giving me a cool story to tell my dad, through IG message. I didn't think he would respond but he did. He said "No problem, I hope you had a fun night!". Basically what I'm saying is that he is actually a very kind person. He had no reason to be that nice to us.

As a huge hawks fan who had to endure a decade of horrible football (excluding the 2005 super bowl run we got blatantly cheated in via the refs who went later on to admit they screwed that game up big only AFTER they retired though 🙄) And went to over 20 games including all 4 playoff games in both the super bowl years 😅. I was at The Tip and the NFC championship game comeback against the packers. But getting to not only enjoy rooting for a winning team but the way they cemented themselves in history with thier personalities, coining the Legion Of Boom and backing it up with 5 Straight years having the number 1 scoring defense and secondary in the league with maybe the greatest Middle Linebacker ever in Bobby Wagner and watched arguably the greatest defense ever (modern era for sure #1 since '00 Ravens) ball out constantly and win in dramatic fashion with Wilson playing QB at that time making jaw dropping backyard football plays and comebacks all while a literal BEAST and HOF caliber RB was shaking the world with some of the best runs (and one liners) in NFL history and doing so in debatably the loudest/hardest stadiums to play and win in cause of the 12th man. I was even at the game where we hit 137.6 decibels breaking the Guinness book of world records for loudest fans🔥 until The Chiefs cheaply broke it by asking during timeout for thier fans to scream while ours was genuinely just us rooting for the LOB midgame plus we hold 12 thousand less people so I still call the record ours out of technicality lmao 😂😂 Those were the best 6 years of my life. Ending in the birth of my beautiful daughter ❤️. I can't believe it's been over a decade already and that every player from those days been gone for years besides Wagner who came back this year. Strongly I might add for a guy in his 13th season getting 168 tackles 🤯 So seeing you randomly cover the LOB was a must watch bro. Ever get a chance do a mini documentary on them showing thier rise and highlights during thier legendary run to the demise because of the worst play call of all time tearing the locker room in half turning the LOB/Defense against Russell Wilson! Would be a great watch and walk down memory lane and packed with tons of entertainment from massive hits to insane game saving knockouts at the goaline to nearly shutting out the greatest statistical offense of all time in the 2013 Broncos who only scored last play 3rd quarter with second strings playing 😂😂 Thier talk and personalities launched them into the spotlight but it was thier play on the field that demanded respect and cemented a place in NFL history 🙌

Everyone blames Russ but everyone forgets he put the Seahawks up if i recall 9 or 14 points towards the end of the 3rd or beginning of the 4th. But they gave up multiple unanswered scores in the 4th quarter and they all just blamed Russ, albeit he threw that interception but they could’ve made some stops

His presence would give an offensive player that drive and knowing they can depend on them it gives them more strength to not even burden the guys frfr .
