Great list, especially numbers 18 & 20. I try my best to "check myself and the situation" before a shot is fired now. It's helped with my shots actually hitting and the confidence to use weapons I wouldn't normally. And watching my own vids, I've noticed that I tend to over extend myself in fights, giving up cover in order to get a shot in. That, along with going into panic mode when a teammate goes down are my main areas to work on now.
i use the button layout Evolved you jump with L1 and punch with circle without moving your thumb on your right stick. Just a suggestion if anyone wants to try it before buying paddles or a “pro” controller lol
To your point on Composure, I use a variation of a trick from Food Wars for calming down. I slap the back of my hands. I feel it helps when I'm on the edge. Lol
What an amazing video. This is helpful for all consoles. Nintendo Switch player here, I find this useful. I must say the Nintendo Switch performance is rather limited and no matter how much I train it just feels like something's off.
Thanks for the vid! I’ve gotten better at tunnel vision on shooting an enemy. If I’m taking damage from another person mid magazine dump, I’ll stop and regroup. It’s not a big deal if I don’t down that player right away. Position is everything! lol
Appreciate the tips man. I really do need to use my index to start healing. I thought I was pretty fast but I bet it's so much faster after learning to do that:)
One Tip that helps me alot its that I turn OFF aim assist at the firing range and pubs games. And turn it ON in ranked games an my aim has improved a lot. I've only play the game for like 100hr but still I hope this helps
I’m used to 4, anything other than that is too high. I would say that you should stick with 3 for a while until you get used to it, and once you feel like you can change again you will have to choose between staying with 3 or changing to 4, and I personally think 3 is too low
I started playing claw around 2016, it’s so much better than standard. I can couch spam while moving left and right and aim/shoot with accuracy in almost any game including Apex (I’ve practiced for a very long time) and it give you such a HUGE advantage. It’s makes you really hard to hit and win more gunfights. Starting claw it took me like a solid 3-4 day to get half decent at it and for my hand to “conform” to it. It’s feel really, I mean really weird when you first start and your index finger will hurt a little but after a couple days it won’t anymore. I can’t even pick up a controller normal anymore and play good 😂 I would recommend claw to anyone
I would add, whilst fine tuning one's sensitivity, turn off aim аssist. This will show how much one is over correcting during an exchange. Once aim аssist is re-engaged, it'll feel like one is lazering targets. This is also a good way to warm up.
I switched my square bind (reload, loot, etc...) to the right bumper and the ping to down on the left stick (as I have auto run on) and it is super helpful. Having the ability to look around while picking up items has been the reason I’ve managed to grab things like weapons and armor off landing faster than my opponents could, I’d highly recommend trying it out.
I definitely needed to hear the tips about looting the boxes and the crouch spam. Lost too many fights because I couldn’t get the armor swap in time or I missed too many crucial shots. Still doing very well, but I definitely need improvements! Thanks for the vid!!
I have a tip as well. You know when you try to reload on a door and it opens, yeah respawn was kind enough to make a setting to fix that. You can change reaload to hold or change interact to hold
Lemme tell you, as a claw player since ps2, even taking care of your hands you sometimes have some issues with arthritic pain after long gaming sessions when you been team claw for 15+ years
@@NioJPlays I didn’t even know it was called claw back then! It’s naturally how I learned to hold a controller, unsure why I’m just weird like that haha
That case when you're Russian and watch every video to improve while trying to catch every tip. Please make a subtitles as Tempatron do. You're awesome keep rolling.
Great video!! I'm amazed by the things great players can do. What makes me sad though is that I'll NEVER be able to do these things well because I simply don't have time to practice these things. I want to play for an hour or two per day a couple of times per week, and there simply isn't a place for casual players in Apex. It's sad actually because the game is so fun.
Damn I didn’t even know there were this many levels to to this game lol. I just stand over the box and take my time looking through it, 😂. Come to think of it I have died a bunch of times looting a box.
I remapped the up and down buttons on my d pad, so down would be to heal cuz i can pop heals without my thumb leaving the left analogue stick, it works pretty well for me personally
I use right stick to jump, left upper trigger to crouch(on hold), right upper trigger is tactical ability, left stick to ping. These binds are easier then learning claw and have no disadvantages. Right stick jump might cause you to jump while aiming so u can put that on left stick. I use right stick jump for all games and I have used it for 5 years so I have no issues.
I love how apex is always about adapting to the games movement as well as being versatile. I've been a controller player for 13 years now and there's times I have to come back to these videos to make adjustments to my playstyle as well as tweak my settings for my controller. Keep up the great work man us controller players appreciate this
The pay to win is true. I’m currently saving for the pk skin because for me it more easier to see and land shots with it also, I always use index finger for pressing buttons because we can’t lose that split second of aim
HIPFIRE! YES. I have been practicing it a ton lately because of you. I've gotten so much better and it's been the biggest game changer in 1v2 or 1v3s. I won multiple fights yesterday because of hipfiring, and my dead teammate literally said "Daamn Sooxfar". I'm so glad I spent the time in firing range getting it down.
K you cover claw for PS console players what about us Box players our sticks are separated so makes it little harder. I personally have a Power A spectre so I have buttons under my controller that helps BEYOND what can say on here
4:08 high sensitivity has the opposite effect. I used to play with high velocity with both meters at max, I got really good at close range lasering but as soon as they were like 20 feet away I would miss every shot or have awful precision
Thank you! Small things add up and have a large impact when combined. I have been a fan of yours from some time, thanks again for your content and time invested: it has done wonders for the apex community.
LoL I was just on my way to put my auto sprint on that I never even realised that I turned it on a long time ago, i thought i turned it off agian because I would always go into walking instead of running and have gotten so used to it t i didn't even notice it was on.😂😂
The flat line has a pay to win skin and you can't even craft it. That sucks for new players who can't even buy it as it will probably never go in the store again
Thanks bro. Thanks to your advice i was able to get into plat. Grinding for diamond now. And all my friends also want to learn claw now. (Watching your favorite content creator) mine is you bro. Thanks for the great content. Love you and your videos. Ps you were the first content creator i started watching and now i'm better at apex!!!!♡
A good tip to stay calm and aware is to either out loud or in your head just assess the situation and just say what your assessing and when you do it. It helps a lot trust me lol
So, one thing I’d like to mention is the punch the air thing. That happens to me only when I weapon switch. I’ve experienced it quite a few times where I’m switching from havoc to something else and the transition is what triggers the melee. My guess is that it’s detecting a trigger pull before the weapon is out and that’s what’s causing the melee. I’m sure that’s a “‘me” problem but I know it happens to a few of my friends as well.
I was playing solo trios the other day and I was 100 damage away from a 3k with wraith and I had red evo well I knocked 1 then the other came in. and I tried to swap to a gold that was on the ground and it wouldn't let me pick it up bc red Evo is better u know hoe to fix that? also I play on controller
Too me crouch on hold can defiantly get you killed if you not playing on a elite controller. Having to take your thumb off the joystick to hit B when you wanna crouch and hold it is definitely draining
I have R3 on my jump and L1 on my crouch so that way I don’t have to take my thumbs off the analogue sticks very much! :) that’s my go-to button layout! :D
To every one who watch this the tips are legit for people who don't know nun. But the best tip he said was the last one, WATCH YOUR DEATHS AND LEARN FROM THEM, STOP MAKING THE SAME MISTAKES
JETPaCK ALWAYS TOGGLE! You can't walljump with it on hold. If you have paddle you can run my setup, l2ads ,r2 fire, l1 ability, r1 heal (to slide heal) x ping, o melee, triangle switch weapons, interact/reload l3( easier to zip bounce and open doors while still moving and aiming) tap to interact/hold to reload, (you can open doors without reloading, and reload instead of reviving a downed teamate thats close. Grenade on r3 so I dont have to leave the sticks to throw them, unleas you hit r3 in fights accidentally. And jump and slide on the paddles. Crouch on hold, autorun. 7-3 classic.
