Many people view the Toy Story franchise as a collection of perfect movies. Well, like any creative project -- it didn’t always start out this way! Come on a journey with us through all of the films to learn about cut scenes, deleted storylines, and moments that would have NEVER made it til the final cut. If some of these scenes were in the movies -- it could have changed the franchise FOREVER!
See some great Toy Story moments including all the different ways Toy Story could have been. Andy and Woody would have a very different relationship. Even more toy torture was supposed to be displayed by Sid. In Toy Story 3, Lotso Bear may have originally been a completely different type of stuffed animal. Woody has gone through a number of character changes and early on, he was pretty unlikeable, especially compared with the version we know and love today. Watch to see all of these moments and learn a whole lot more about the Toy Story franchise!

Sid isn't evil, he is creative. He had no idea his toys felt pain or emotions. I'm referring to the first movie. Who knows how being traumatized might have effected him in the later movies.

You know what is a missed opportunity? Just like how Star Wars has the line, "I've got a bad feeling about this" in every Star Wars film in the saga, Toy Story should have had, "well it couldn't have gotten up and walked away" in every film everytime a toy went "missing."

I doubt this would have changed things but in the first Toy Story when Woody was gonna confront Sid for his actions he actually talked to Sid buzz did as well. Walking on top of him and talking trash about him it was funny. My favorite part was when Woody stood up and said " GEPPETTO LOOK I'M A REAL BOY!"

I think the original deleted scenes of Buzz and Woody being in the hands of Sid would've been better to stay in the first movie, because it would've made sense as to what was going on. Including the scene where at one point Woody was wearing his hat, and the next he's not wearing it. It reveal later in one of the second deleted scenes that he hid himself because of the toolbox keeping him down and trapping him in one of Sid's crates shut with a slam instantly and though this would immediately wake Sid up from his sleep.

Buzz meeting an improved version of himself actually sounds kinda cool! Though, the international setting from that proposed film reminds me of Cars 2, which we all know was bad. Still, I'd be curious for Disney to take that Buzz idea and turn it into a short film or book or something. (Even though I think the franchise will really be DONE done with TS4.)

The Rock ‘em Sock ‘em Robots scene should have been kept. Sure the Star Wars reference was funny but the former was more climactic /and/ not too violent. I can just picture Zurg going “Ow! Ow! Curse you, Buzz Lightyear....!” as the toys run off to Al’s apartment.

In the original plans for toy story 2, they were going to have a character called ‘señorita cactus’ who was planned to be a second antagonist alongside stinky Pete, who were bitter and full of themselves because of their ‘mint in the box’ status. This character was eventually cut and replaced with Jessie

Not only that, but in Toy Story 4, Buzz originally met a trio of toys at the carnival who were all knockoffs of himself. Their names were Bizz Leapyear, Buzztron and Blip Laserfist, and they helped Buzz to escape before tagging along with him. Also, if I remember correctly, they apparently considered Buzz to be their father. Eventually, Buzz’s illegitimate children were cut out of the story, and were replaced with Ducky and Bunny.
