Do you think the family should be aged up for Incredibles 3?

Another part of the original opening scene is that Syndrome mentions that Supers are apparently not even ALLOWED to have children. That would have been a heck of a dark plot.

The part where Bob accidently "cut" his fingers with the butcher knife which leave a dent on the blade and pretend that he's screaming in pain that made everyone panic is bloody hilarious though.

Zereck being Violet's true father was actually one hell of a good plot twist

I think their decision to switch to Syndrome as the main villain was perfect. While Zarrick looks like a cool character, he's way too similar to cliché and traditional villains that are smart and calculating. It would be too similar to every other superhero movie. Syndrome was one of the key features that made the Incredibles so unique and refreshing because he was just this kid who wanted to be glorified as a hero, albeit through the wrong methods. He's also another smart villain with the tech and the planning, but his personality and motivations are really interesting and fun to explore.

I would prefer this to be the sequel of the Incredibles than the one we got.

This would have been an amazing movie, but it would be a little too gutsy for a family movie. It's got themes of domestic abuse and children born out of wedlock, and that would be far too risky for Disney to put in a family film. Even so, it would be an AMAZING film!

The Incredibles is a masterpiece. I think a third movie in which the family is aged up would be phenomenal. It would allow for a slightly different dynamic between the family members. Also, when you said the reveal about Zarrick, my jaw dropped.

We can at least admit that Syndrome was already a perfect villain.

Nice tie in for why Violet looks so different from Bob and her siblings. She still has some facial features that could be from Helen, after all.

Xerek ought to be the villain in Incredibles 3. I mean look at that design. It almost reminds me of a more Charming Dr Calico.

The screenslaver was a lazy and mostly uninteresting villain. Anything would have been better

If Zereck was in the original Incredibles movie, i think Malcolm McDowell would've been an awesome choice to play him

If they do a 3rd Incredibles movie, and is focused on the children, they still can use a variation of this cold oppening. Obviously whitout Syndrome.

“Elastic girl?! you married elastic girl! And had a kid?!” I love the fact they kept that line in the final product of the film any only changed “had a kid” to “and gotten busy!”

That White haired woman who was talking about not wanting to raise kids looks like that one character from Phineas and Ferb who fights Isabellas Chihuahua.

I think it would be better if you made Zerik a more sympathetic character. Something like the scene with Syndrome infront of the family except its a "Do you have any idea how much it hurts??! Being forced away from my daughter for so long!?" Kinda deal. That way his time bonding with Violet seems more genuine and that the villain can be more lasting and more ambiguous. Sure he wasnt a good boyfriend but fuck was he willing to be a good father.

I think this would work when Violet goes off to college and feels isolated to the point she is unsure of her current family then Zarrick shows up to offer her a job that centers around capturing Bob, Helen, and Dash. Jack-Jack comes saves the day and makes Violet feel more connected to her family again promising her to call after they finish class or visit her over a weekend.

This plot of Violet’s parentage can still work in a future sequel, like when Violet is all grown up and Helen is debating whether it’s time she finally learns the truth

Violet being an illegitimate child makes way more sense than it should

I honestly much prefer the script they went with: it feels much more condensed and has that signature mature style of writing that no other Pixar film has. I must say, however: Violet's arc on the old script is interesting. I also always found it weird how she looked genetically very different from her family, so taking that and her shown insecurities to build a character arc is pretty smart. It's really sad she wasn't as utilized on the actual film, as I've always loved her character.

It NEVER ceases to amaze how *FASCINATING* the "making of" story of animated movie can be, as well as they "what could've been"...

The "you married elastigirl" part ended differently so I can only wonder if "and got BIZAYYY" was adlibbed

There was a bonus disc that came with the original Incredibles movie showcasing audio files of all the different superhero’s from the glory days. I want a movie about them honestly, they all seemed so interesting and witty, and they all had quirky relationships with one another that made the world of the Incredibles feel so real

The Incredibles is my favorite Pixar movie, but frankly, I don't want to see Incredibles 3. I want a FROZONE movie that hones in on his backstory. This could serve as a prequel movie that lets us see the supers at their peak. That way, we can truly understand how much the supers lost by being forced into hiding and also learn more about a fan favorite character. :)

I want an older Violet and Dash, while Jack Jack is a bit older too and has settled into his powers more.

The whole plot twist of Violet would make for a great movie, even if it wasn’t an Incredibles 3!

I would love to see something like that in a 3rd movie. I doubt Disney would go with the implied domestic violence angle and they would probably reveal Violet is Bob's daughter in the end, but this would still be a very interesting story.

First of all, I really like the Incredibles movie, but the original script about Xerek and Violet was actually interesting. Plus, if I'm being honest, I feel like Violet would've been the main ones of the Incredibles, because then the series would make sense. And if they added Xerek, then the series would also be interesting. Imo

“You don’t even know where the hospital is, do you?” This implies they had probably had Violet in the tub

I find Helen’s speech about the sacrifice of mother hood and hat she’s willing to go through for me is far more powerful than the new movie where she’s more self centered and selfish

I audibly gasped with the Violet plot twist part! Would've been SO interesting, not so child friendly plot. But that would've been so interesting to watch! I love it.

This would've been a masterpiece! I really loved how the "She's still my sister!" Was the thing that broke them being trapped, it gave me goosebumps considering I'm such a family person.

Honestly, Syndrome is so much better for a villain, and I'm glad they listened to the feedback before moving forward. Syndrome is so, so good of a villain to have. 10/10 movie they ended up with.

Personally, if Pixar ever returned to Incredibles, I want there to be a series on Disney plus where the episodes focus on the other supers in the Glory Days, like Gazerbeam, Fironic, Macroburst, Stratogale, Apogee, Dynaguy, Splashdown, Metro Man, Universal Man, Blazestone, and so much more! Who knows? I kinda have a theory Fironic is still alive. As far as we know, there's no evidence of death. But back to all the glory day supers. I think revisiting the glory days would also share the relationship between Elastigirl and Snogg. It was said Snogg would transport Elastigirl during missions. It would also be nice to give Bomb Voyage and Underminer screen time, because Mr. Incredible seems to have a long history with those two secondary villains. Still, Incredibles 3 may still have it's moments where we might not need the Glory Days series.

I bet that his story would inspired by either a third movie were there older and that storyline happens or a similar way that Disney is doing to Monsters at work, either way this is interesting and would explain a few plot holes. p.s someone write it down for the live action one

Okay, I'm piggybacking off others' ideas. Incredibles 3. Timeskip. Perhaps the characters' maturity is echoed in a much more gruesome, adult story. An older Xeric begins sending threatening notes and photos to the Parr family, imtended for Violet specifically. But Helen and Bob find them before she can during a family reunion, and don't tell anyone else. They read "FALSE FATHER" or "LIVING A LIE" or "GIVE HER BACK", and the photos are a mix of both old and recent. Violet is now an adult, but still does hero work with her parents, and Dash and Jack-Jack are shadowing Frozone in another city. While they do, Vi, who is hoping Tony will ask to marry her, takes him on a date and finds one of the notes--clipped to it is a photo of a young Helen. She brings it to her parents, who show her the other notes, and she thinks someone is targeting the whole family until she sees a note they'd tried to hide: a photo of her with the word VIOLET written in red. She snaps at them for not trusting her, but tells them to get out before they can talk. The unresolved awkwardness comes through in both hero work and her relationship with Tony; the Incredibles can no longer work together and nearly destroy the city when a new villain attacks. She also explodes on Tony and he leaves her. Intercut with flashbacks of a young Helen and Xeric. They are a supervillain duo, and he repeatedly uses Helen as a tool. During a fight with several old heroes he nearly kills her with a death ray while aiming for them, and she turns on him. Eventually she would go on to become a hero, getting a mohawk and a bike before first relaxing the edgy persona and then settling down with Bob. At her lowest, Violet finds Xeric waiting for her, and they talk. He tells her part of the story with Helen, but then freezes her dead in her tracks as she's about to attack him: Helen never left him. Not until after she was born. She connects the dots and realizes what happens, and when a helicopter lowers a ladder into her driveway she comes willingly. Of course, Frozone, Dash and Jack-Jack have their own side-adventures getting modified costumes from E to fight a new villain, a massive dragon-like behemoth, whom Jack-Jack unleashes his full power on and easily defeats, but we cut away as he wakes up again. And smiles with fanged teeth. Tony comes back to Violet's apartment hoping to talk and finds her gone, going to the Parrs and telling them Violet is missing. They realize it's Xeric, and Helen knows where his base is. The secret one they'd had when they were dating. A sprawling oasis in the snowy mountains. Xeric brings Violet to his palace, where he laments about his time with Helen. The dragon-monster turns out to be his top enforcer, and this is where he presents his plan: he has learned he is dying of an incurable disease, and he wants to pass on his legacy, have someone to inherit the empire he will build in his final push for domination. He has already captured Frozone and her brothers, and after observing him in battle Xeric plans to harvest Jack-Jack's DNA to make an army. It's how he created his army of superpowered monsters, after all. Some powers, he even collected data on from Syndrome's OmniDroids and synthesized. Others still he bought from DevTech, which was bankrupted after the Screenslaver incident and quietly bought out. Bob and Helen try walking into the base using Helen's old password, which she assumes is unchanged because he kept expecting her to come back. Still, henchmen swarm them and they are brought to Xeric in full-body restraints. She talks to both parents, and that's when she realizes another truth: Bob, Helen and Frozone all knew about her, and agreed a long time ago to keep it a secret to keep her safe. Xeric's monsters are unleashed on the planet, and the world's Supers are rapidly overrun. "All of it," Xeric says, "is for you." She asks to release Dash and Jack-Jack, who are innocent. "But they know now. How could they look at you the same?" Violet is stunned into silence. But news footage captures a family shielding their newborn together when a mutant lands mere feet away, ready to devour them all. Shaken, she hits the release button on their restraints and the base's remaining mutants turn on them. Xeric grabs a Zero Point emitter and runs, and Jack-Jack battles the dragon yet again. One by one mutants tailored to each Super block the family's way, leaving only Violet and Helen. He freezes both and activates a new plan: total annihilation. "If my daughter doesn't want the world she won't have it!" The other Supers figure out ways to defeat their own mutants and run to join the battle with Xeric. All except Dash, who heads to the palace's control emitter, destroying it and cutting off the mutants' signals, leaving them disconnected and vulnerable. Cornered, with his emitter broken, Xeric grabs his death ray--the same one he nearly killed Helen with. He fires a shot, and Violet deflects it back at him, using her powers for the first time since coming to the base, and thus choosing her future. They return home, and she finds Tony waiting for her. He proposes, but not with a ring. Instead, he presents her with her own supersuit, which he made himself (with Edna's help, of course), and promises to patch it up every time she needs it. She says yes. Dash graduates high school, and Frozone promises to keep having his own adventures with he and Jack-Jack. With Violet on her own now and the other kids able to go solo, Bob and Helen retire for good, watching news footage of their children being heroes.

Maybe in another 14 years we’ll get another incredibles movie

That was a great story. I was very shocked at the reveal and in a way it makes sense that zarrick would be Violet's biological father since nobody the family of the Incredibles have the same hair as violet. If they were to ever make an incredibles 3 I would love to see something like this

I really like his version in this story it really shows how some people can be just haunted by their pasts, and it also shows that not every family is perfect. It really has a great ending and I love what happens with Bob and Violet. Thought I think there could've been more done with Derek it was still a great idea.

Violet is a character I wanted to see explored more, I would have loved this script.

Your idea was honestly badass and yet very emotional it would of been a great story especially for Pixar because it’ll probably send a message to the audience that “you don’t need to be blood to be a family, all you need is love”.

To be fair, if the original villain was cold and calculating, he could totally take the position of making robots that evolve by learning. Not that much would actually have to be changed. And that sucks, because I feel like this beginning is much better. Edit: Yeah, your version was much better. It added complex family dynamics that would be a step forward even today, let alone back in 2004.

Bryan mate you seriously need to make a video where you make casting nominations for the characters in Robert Kirkman's Invincible for a hypothetical live action series or a film. I know that many people have been requesting for you to do so as well as me so it's a definite garuntee that it would be incredibly successful if you were to make a video for the characters of Invincible or even maybe a series of videos. Come on man what do you say?

When incredibles 2 was announced i was hoping to zarrick come back as the main villain and maybe some of the old scrapped script could be remade But well, we got a different thing sadly, hope they make a series with zarrick as the villain, like they made a sequel series for monsters inc

Although I like your story of the other version, I still prefer the original, the family dynamic displayed in the first film was so realistic, and the struggle of Bob and Helen's conflict of putting their past glory behind them and forcing their children to maintain normal lives is such an interesting and relatable concept. On top of that syndromes being an underappreciated side-kick gone villain was an absolute stroke of perfection. Even his philosophy of turning everyone super to undermine the heroes was top notch and petty enough to be believable, considering his character was so childish and bombastic.

I'm glad they went with Syndrome for the first movie. But this definitely sounds better than the second one, by a mile.

8:47 Bruh, this would have been one of the greatest plot twists. And also, the story you build-up, it's just quite fascinating. For me, it won't be the Incredibles we know, but it would be the Incredibles we will remember for a long time. Dark, yet perfect in my view.

The way you made use of Violet's hair color to set up the plot twist was pretty smart. It's a good way to build up a twist, something that makes you think a little but not completely connect the dots.

Ngl, your version made me tear up. As one of the six adopted kids of my family, it hit deep. My dad might not have fathered me, but he is my dad, and I wouldn’t wish for anything else.

I think the bulk of this story could work in an Incredibles 3. They would just have to adjust it to fit with what they've done with 1 & 2. A lot of their origin story has already been told, but there's room for them to squeeze this in.

I have to give major props to your script. Being that I have a stepdad who cared for me as his own from a very young age, this was very gripping and relatable and I think it's a side of family life that doesn't get highlighted enough. Very nicely done!

If we ever get an Incredibles 3, I want to see Zarak finally make his debut

It's amazing how Pixar's story team is so good that even their cancelled scripts would make great movies. I've always wanted to see the original version of The Incredibles as well as Monsters Inc., although the finished products are still classics. If I had to make my own version, it would really hone in on the family disguising themselves being normal because supers are illegal. This was the pitch that captivated me as a kid before it was released. I really want to see the consequences of them using their powers in public, which for the most part, didn't play a significant role in the plot for either Incredibles 1 or 2.

So sad they never made an Incredibles 2

Kind of would love to see this villain in a third movie. I don’t know about the relationship between him and Elastigirl, but an Incredibles movie that is centered a little more around Violet would be pretty cool. Kind of like to see a plot that revolves around secret identity. Maybe Zarik (I guess I’m spelling his name right) could be a character that thinks superheroes shouldn’t have to hide behind a secret identity, yet he’s also got some shady stuff going on behind the scenes, I think that would be pretty great. Also I’m not sure if the characters should age up a whole lot, maybe a couple years or three at the very least.

Someone give this man a studio team and some funding! I got so hyped just listening to your re-imagining of the film. As many times as I saw Incredibles 1 (20+ times), I would still love to see your version as well. That was nothing short of...well, incredible! Also, the deleted scenes are really good too.
