Not by being on trend, not by hoarding every new release, unboxing it on camera and then never feature it again. You take your time, your descriptions are like poetry, your voice is lovely and I love that you feature your beloved fragrances in several videos. It is not just about notes but about the emotion the perfumes ewoke and the relationship with them. I have a perfume collection that I cherish and perfume channels that are about the newest trends and buying all things new, just to stay relevant, are not my thing at all! My mother also wore Aromatics Elixir in the 90's. A was a a little girl and it's been a long time since I don't smell the fragrance but that aroma is pierced on my soul! ❤ I adore your personality, femme fatale for sure. The only one from this list that I own is Crystal Noir EDT as I let go of Magie Noire as I associate chypres with my mom and they don't feel like myself
Interesting picks for goth moods. To me the ultimate gothic scent is Love in Black by Creed. Violets and incense so intense I can only wear this on very special occasions.
My choice was Creed Carmina because of the strong incense and rose in it. I've never tried Love in Black but it sounds incredible!! Most people talk about Love in White but I'm more into darker fragrances, if that makes sense.
I think goth i think Midnight Poison by Dior, unfortunately discontinued, but here in Brazil we have one perfume as wonderful as this one. Phyton and Flowers by Mahogany. The initial minty scent is so heavy, caused by a lot of patchouli and amber that reminds me formalin...and the heavy scent of roses in the heart of this fragrance...wow. Goth as a funeral in a hungarian winter night. U would love it.🖤And for the ones that loves that mysterious oriental goth vibe, with a smoke trail like a kiss given by Baphomet...I recomend Samsara EDP by Guerlain🖤🖤🖤🖤

I just meandered onto your channel, and thoroughly enjoyed this video! I still haven't recovered from Donna Karan discontinuing Chaos and Black Cashmere. I ADORED those. I happily wore Estee Lauder Sensuous (the original, plus the purple bottled one) and now THAT'S discontinued... But I remember a perfume from the early to mid 70s when I was little that smelled just like Sensuous, woody, musky, ambergrisish, mysterious-my mom's friend wore it & I'm sure it was French but she's dead now so I never got to know which one it was. 🥺 So I am watching your channel with great interest. I forgot about Clinique's classic fragrances! For a blip in time I wore Clinique Wrappings, I got it as a gift. I thought after you shared Clinique Elixir you were going to break out Estee Lauder's Youth Dew, I remember that one being literally very dark and mysterious! It comes out every Christmastime.

I wish I could get my hands on a vintage Aromatics Elixir... I think it's impossible though because I think they pulled all the earlier bottles when they reformulated. I completely agree that Versace crystal noir is a goth at the beach scent. I keep hearing people say it's a winder scent and all I can think Abt it wearing it during summer dressed in black❤

Agent Provocateur has now become my favorite scent, you might know it's discontinued. I wore Aromatics Elixir SO MUCH and got SO many compliments, will never give it up, my mom loved it too...they made a dusting powder and I used to help Mom take a shower and then dose her up with Clinique powder and spray. I need to smell Angel, and start looking for more Agent tonight.
I looove Crystal Noir and I agree- it smells like a stormy summer nigth. I use it when I want the scent I'm wearing to bring a place to my mind rather than a character
My ultimate goth perfumes would be: Eden by Cacharel ....it has this wet earthy decaying sweet smell; i love it! Tendre Poison by Dior (very sadly discontinued) and Tenue de Soirée by Goutal. Loved this deep dive and new subscriber!

I don't know if it's exactly gothic the feeling I'm getting from it but definitely a boss lady perfume with some darkness and "body" to it 👌
Totally agree with Aura and Angel by Mugler! Also, for me, the original Coco by Chanel, as well as Grand Soir by Maison Francis Kurkdjian have got to be some of the ultimate goth perfumes :)

You have an awsome collection! Midnight Poison is one of the loves of my life thanks to you! In India I wore Kenzo L'Elephant exclusively, apart from the day I visited Taj Mahal and no other scent made sense besides our beloved Shalimar. On the Maldives during the day U wore Black Aoud by Montale and you wouldn't believe how many compliments I got! In the evening to go dinner with my lovely husband just Boucheron ❤ Now I have to watch all the videos you made since late April. Big love my darling

Somewhat late to comment. Your channel popped up to me and subbed immediately. I’m going to see Nick Cave next week & was tossing up what perfume to wear. Aromatics OMG I wore this all the time in a tropical climate in the 80’s but have Aura too now with the body wash and cream. Thinking it’s going to be an Aura night or maybe Babycat which I adore, (only have a sample) whilst watching Nick. But then saw Lust…decisions…🌚 then The Bawd, and I'm Australian and then Lou Lou oh Lordy another one I wore constantly in the ’80s..

I'm such a goth at heart. I mean, I already wear all black and have tattoos so I'm halfway there!! 😂😂 My current favorite goth fragrance is Creed Carmina. It's a deep, dark incensey rose 🌹 fragrance. It's complex and not for the faint of heart. It's beastmode too. Commanding. I adore it. It's one of those "love or hate" fragrances with very little in between.
Your channel is such a fun place to visit. I would add, for this genre,M Micallef Parfum in Gold. It’s like being n a hot fragrant tropical jungle that’s in fire. Miller Harris Scherzo is bewitching and seductive rose oud, but user friendly. It gets all the compliments. And a surprise would be Billie Eilish II, black bust. Deep Palo santo and vanilla. So good.
Heeeeeeeey, I just clicked on your channel out of curiosity and the first perfume you mentioned is from Amouage, and my all time favorite perfume (which is hard to say because I love so many but it really is my most favorite!!) is from Amouge!! Nobody ever talks about Amouage! I am not a wealthy gal, but a sample of it that I got just absolutely triggered something in my brain and I had to have it so I spent $350 on it!!! Now I'm especially interested in watching the rest of the video, as I have a passion for scent and the creation of it for many years now, and also your sweater!! Where did you find that? It's quite amazing!! Anyway, now to watch the rest of the video...p.s. The scent I love by Amouage is called Beach Hut Woman...It's quite bright and beachy at first and then mellows down into THE sexiest, earthy woodiness that is just to die for!!! Just thinking about it makes me happy!

Opus 9 or rose insence are definitely gothic fragrances to me; midnight poison is a banger (for women), memoir man is a banger, but gothic? Haven't ever looked at it like this :-) I go with tom ford's anthracite, aqua di parmas oud & spices or interlude amouage or carner barcelona dracon,fahrenheit absolute (balenciaga pour homme & cappucis sang royal as one of the alltime best, and personally, JPG le male og formula). Etat Libre d'Orange have many gothic fragrances -- my favourites are the rose-based ones: Eau de Protection, Experimentum Crucis and Hermann a mes cotés parassait une hombre. Also, one of my nicknames is Doozy 😁 I love most of your picks, and it pleases me to know that there are people who appreciate Midnight Poison.

My most goth frags would be full incense montale, witchy woo Vyrao (soft goth), vintage poison, and maybe camel zoologist. 🖤💜 all those berry, incense notes

I would include Ormonde Jayne Woman here. It’s poisonous green, with the main note being - hemlock. I would also include Messe de Minuit, likely not made any more. I would also include Passage d’Enfer. The latter is one of the most singularly beautiful fragrances I’ve ever experienced. It’s fresh and skin like but also incensey. It’s as if you washed with incense scented soap. Perhaps Bee Flower Soap. I’d also include the discontinued YSL Nu, the one that came in the pewter colored hockey puck bottle. This one got me followed. Very nice list. I enjoyed the video very much. If you really want to go there, try Zoology Bat.

Lattafa Maahir Black is very Gothic. There's very little sweetness. It's similar to Lalique Encre Noir, but even darker and more smoky. Salvador Dali pour Homme (1987) is another darkly Gothic one. It's very forest like, oily and an animalic sexy beast.
@thefragrantician I agree so much! I know it has some really awful reviews on Fragrantica, but a lot of these do too. You and I seem to have really similar taste, I love Gothic things, throwback fragrances and rich, spicy or herbal compositions.

I've worn it 3 times already in less than a month. 😊 When I want goth darkness somewhat in the vein of Dark Crystal, I reach for Datura Noir; a dark moody mix of tuberose, coconut, woody and creaminess... I was afraid of Fils de Joie when I looked at the notes, but a few people rave about it and make me curious. I have not met a Lutens fragrance so far that I have not at least liked. 🙂

They are almost always synthetic unless its stated otherwise and those are quite rare and only some small brands still use the real thing for limited amounts

It’s a little bit your fault that I found my last tuberose fragrance from Monotheme Venezia, and at the same time I found two more new fragrances for a reduced price, so I bought all of them and now today I ordered one more.. I have to stop watching your channel 😅🌺 The Monotheme Venezia Tuberose scent smells almost exactly like Madonnas discontinued Truth or Dare, and that one was apparently inspired by Fracas (I’ve heard), I’m so happy you reviewed this one, thanks 🙏🏻

I'm actually looking for another "Gothic" scent 🕸️ Magie Noir I liked 20 years ago. Explosive from Etienne Aigner I wear sometimes since last year. But I would like to know a more unique unisex "Alchemist kitchen" like scent. (Maybe, where the Puccini Song , O Mio babbino caro, in "A room with a View" comes to my mind)

Aura is very much a cacophony of so many things. For me a gothic vibe has something that doesn't fit the norm. Unconventional and obscure. Polarising. Darkness and light. A contrast. I need to stop wearing aura it's addictive haha 😄
