I don’t normally say anything about background music. People can do what they like on their channel. But I have to agree with some others. That was truly awful music.

2:12 In 1992, in a TC2000 race in Río Cuarto Argentina, Miguel Ángel "Toto" Etchegaray opened the door of his Fuego coupe and dropped the fire extinguisher that had come loose inside the cockpit while leading the race. This action cost him a harsh 1-year suspension.
Thanks for the context on that one... Wasn't sure what the f*** was going on. AND I agree, a year? That's harsh... I mean, safety is a must in motorsports but a year??? Over a fire extinguisher??? Littering the track? Just a smidgeon of over-reaction... ;o)
@@lordofrims What do you want??? To live forever??? Racing and motorsport in general are known highly risky activities... If you aren't willing to accept that, stay out... TOO MUCH focus on safety creates a society full of cowards and depression and anxiety... and eventually a whole generation of shut-ins who can't possibly function outside of their sterile little bubbles... I've raced motorcycles... AND people die. It sucks, but such is life. The whole value to it is that one day, it's OVER and you don't get to know exactly when that is or how long you've got until you're on "short time"... and by then, it's too late to do much about it. Yeah, there's no sense in making it more dangerous than it has to be, but the actual "real life" risk posed to other competitors was relatively minor... A year just seems like a whole lot of wasted time over no more than that. ;o)
@@ohshitnotanotherknob Stop getting your physics lessons from "Jaws"... High compression air tanks don't do that, and neither will a fire extinguisher... It was a hap-hazard POTENTIAL projectile at the very worst... AND with the kinds of safety gear involved in racing cars, probably NOT a particularly dangerous one at that... Most of the "hazard" would be the drivers' dubious reactions to a spectacle... should it have even been hit. ;o)
I have be in the racing world my whole life and I Have seen many things happen on the track but I have never seen a race driver pull over to pick up another driver ..That driver deserves the magnanimous award for outstanding sportsmanship I hope he won that race because he truly deserves it

I swear I've seen it happen a couple times in Supercars, but yeah, proper sportsmanship. Those two in the clip (Cam Waters and Shane Van Gisburgen) are battling it out for 1st in the current Supercars this year.
If you must do music for legal reasons at least bring it down a few clicks on the old volume dial but as far as music goes it was WAY better than 99% of the other videos I have seen ahhh heard... LOL Thanks for the video!
Omg, I was at that race for number 20 What happened was that the dude who was pulled over had a mechanical failure on the last lap and he had to forfeit his podium position to the other dude
Doesn't even have to be a moto GP, my Super Blackbird will pull itself onto a trailer in first at idle. Any modern liter bike will do as well or better.
This doesn't look like a large group of crows that is trying not to do something. Nor is it attempted murder, of you think about it. Sure, they could've gone down easy, if they were your average rider. But they do this professionally. And I'm sure the good ones expect to go down every now and again, and expect that things are going to go south suddenly - and they'll have to deal with that. 13 at least rides enough to know the limits of this type of shenanigan, so knows when to stop being a dick. Final point: he deserved exactly what he got. Banned for 3 races, and now no team on that league wants him. So he had to drop a league down.
@@Fightre_Flighte still it is the worst unsportsmanlike behavior that I have ever seen and racing is always at the limit of human and physics so small things like that a potential deadly so for my self it is still tempted murder

And, when did I say "it was okay," for what he did? I didn't. What I did intend to say was: "he got his punishment. Let sleeping dogs lie." The guy got everything he deserved.
