In the early 90's, VP Dan Quayle visited my college and briefly spoke from the steps of an administration building to both fans and protesters that showed up. There were 4 buildings in near by proximity to his position and each of them had protective snipers on the roof. I would have expected the same to be the case last week. I don't get it.

I myself ama dietary aide. We are very complicated people who work in a high stress environment. Making the trays for every single damn resident and doing it quickly? Mechanical soft? Pudding thick water? Full liquid? Put that tray together in 1.82 seconds. It makes a man hard and mean. We can endure shit that you normal folks couldn’t even fathom. We are basically the special forces of nursing homes. We move quick and are decisive. We are as good as any army seal or ranger or special forces. Therapists are trained professionals, but they are not mind-readers, and their professional objectivity does not necessarily extend to their own children, where emotional closeness and personal biases can cloud judgment. Moreover, people planning harmful actions often exhibit highly deceptive behavior, going to great lengths to conceal their intentions even from those closest to them. This is well known, except for you I guess. The parents' therapeutic specializations might not align with the specific issues their child is facing, particularly if their expertise lies in areas such as family therapy or marriage counseling rather than issues of radicalization or violent intentions, but again, I'm sure you knew that right? Additionally, teenagers and young adults often go through phases of secrecy and rebellion, making it challenging for any parent, regardless of profession, to fully understand their child's thoughts or plans. Even if the parents did notice warning signs, they might have been in denial about the severity of the situation due to the stigma and emotional difficulty of accepting that their child could plan such an act. The cop reportedly was climbing onto the roof, saw the guy, called out to him, had the rifle pointed at him, ducked beneath the roofline since he was still climbing, lost his grip and fell. At least that’s what one news report claimed.
Afterwards the cops apparently decided it's just a guy with a rifle and then they realized, in sheer panic, that they hadn't even asked for his pronouns.

Sometimes people who get into psychology do so because they are seeking to understand their own childhood/family dynamic/help others similar to them. It can be easier to help others clinically, then change learned family patterns in their 24 hr life. There also may be a genetic link to mental health issue or diagnoses. We have no idea what this young man was thinking or if it was related at all. But, I’ve seen a genetic link in my kids’ behaviors to some of the unhealthy/abusive things I grew up with….. only with one of my kids. From almost infancy. At this point, my daughter is doing so well, but the amount of work put in is so so so so so high, whereas my other daughter just didn’t even struggle with those issues.. as she didn’t have them. Just food for thought 🤷♀️

But it would have been a good opportunity to mention how difficult it is for anyone to spot such mental issues even in front of your own nose no matter how well trained you are. I know that his parents being counselours sounds ironic, but for people like me, who had been searching for decades for a useful therapist, sound just as logical. Having training and passing the tests and exams necessary to become a therapist does not ensure an individual to be useful for your specific mental issues, o even to be a good professional. I will still reccomemd anyone who struggles with issues to search for a therapist and try. In most situations, it helps a lot. My failure to find the right one for me doesn't mean they would not help you.
Times of India was showing a video of a couple of Secret Service agents crouching down and moving into different positions right before the shots rang out. So I’m sure they got on the radio to somebody. Just not anybody who was going to get Trump down off the stage and out of danger.

Bethel Park covers an area of almost 12 square miles, 33,000 residents, about 8 miles South of Pittsburgh, with many homes in the 2-5 hundred thousand dollar value. It is at the least, a middle class area. By no means is it a lower class area.

he was profiled and targeted as the ideal candidate to do the job. once it was determined that he had that mentality, the mastermind made a way to communicate with him and eventually urged him to do the job. one evidence for this is that the feds found nothing on his phone, which means he wiped it, which means he wanted to hide communication. so when he went to the rally he was instructed beforehand where and how to get to the roof. which means the man in charge of putting guards in the areas he would need to pass through has to be an accomplice, and the guards in those areas had to be accomplices too and all they had to do was look away when he passed through edit: if he wanted attention and did it alone, he wouldnt have wiped his phone but instead he would have wanted everyone to see everything about him including his phone data that would show how he outwitted everyone.

There is a strategy where people in states with closed primaries register as their ideological opposite party to allow them to vote in that party's primary. The strategy is to vote for the primary candidate who is least likely to win in the general election against your preferred party's nominiee. I hope that made some sense.

I know of **many** people who register in another party so they can vote for the weakest candidate in that party's primary and offset the wing nuts who swamp the PA primaries' turnout. Supposedly he didn’t have social media, except maybe a discord. I don’t know if a fresh report has dug up any social media. There’s definitely been incidents like Uvalde where the shooter was assisted financially in order to afford his load out for sure. Probably had some help getting police to protect him from parents while he carried out his atrocity.

He just got his AA degree in Engineering Sciences in May 2024. Had he not made plans (by applying and being accepted) to go to a four-year school in the fall? If not, does that tell us anything? Also, it appears he got super lucky (for his purposes) in being able to get such nearby vantage point to where Trump was speaking. Was he familiar with that area - 40 miles from his home? If so, was his luck in having previous familiarity with the Butler, PA venue (and its nearby buildings) a factor in deciding to go there after Trump? EDIT: was a online map, as Dr. Grande brought up, his only familiarity with the site?
He could have a significant online presence (though not necessarily public). If he was tech savvy and smart it might be hard for law enforcement to find anything.
Agree. Most people under 25 have now grown up in the age of social media and being "cancelled". Most younger people think it is crazy to post anything political unless it is the "socially approved" position of the masses their age. They post cat videos and could be the next Ted Bundy in real life. And it is not very hard to get a fake email account and make up a avatar name to post everywhere you want. See every post on here.

I would like to know why BUTLER HIGH SCHOOL was so violent 5 year's ago. Why was this child bullied so bad. Why did he sit alone EVERYDAY and no one noticed??? Sad . On RU-vid 5 year's ago about the violent fights at that school 😢
He didn't go to Butler high School he went to Bethel Park high School which by the way is a very good high school and considered one of the top schools Nationwide! look it up!
Imagine - being a kid in school, no friends, treated like garbage by other kids - in front of other kids, eating lunch by yourself, no one wants to sit with you, no one helps you - and then one day - - - - Is anyone surprised by this ? Certainly not condoning what happened by any stretch of the imagination - but I understand. No excuse for bullying being allowed to go on. There must be many ignorant teachers out there who don’t seem to have the ability to observe.
Everyone's impression of the kid is based on an interview given by a supposed malce classmate following the incident. This " bullied" theme has been taken as Gospel & used as rational to explain his behavior. Yet, I have seen additional interviews where he was described as super smart. KIDS would refer to him all the time if t hey needed answers or help. He was described as nice, helpful, polite. One girl said.." not in a million years".
That doesn’t really change anything though. If you’re bullied but smart or just have an easy time learning, kids might treat you nice when they need help with smth and then go back to acting like a-holes when they don’t. @@shirleybalinski4535
I was an outcast too, and I remember how it felt to grow up beside the world instead of in it. It was confusing and dark, and I get how a person could be tricked into doing crazy things if someone dangled social acceptance in front of him. Perhaps we should stop bullying and marginalizing people at some point? I bet that would end most of these crimes of desperation.

Yes, if kids were nicer in school, then there would be no political assassinations. We should make a law and a new agency to oversee kindness in school. Or, maybe a vaccine??

I think Dr Grande is right, the guy was probably not overly interested in politics, Trump was chosen simply because it was an opportunity to eliminate a controversal figure close to where he lived. Thomas was just the local troubled kid where Trump campaigned. The local troubled kid with a gun who was nevertheless not noticed by the secret service. Thinking he would succeed in firing shots was so prosperous a thought that he was delusional in his naivity. But somehow it worked. It evokes memories of the German teenager who flew a light aircraft from Germany landed on the red square at the height of the cold war. He was crazy to think it would work, but somehow it did. For that same reason I don’t think he necessarily expected to die. Politicians could do well to watch their mouths, but this is mostly an issue of catastrophic security failure. Trump survived but a father of two died. The kid’s gun did not even have a scope. Just imagine what 5 trained gunmen might have been able to pull off at the same event.
he added on iron sights and a red laser which was not used, it's in crime scene photos. he also had a device to check distances which he used to look at the snipers, which had eyes on him for minutes but no call to shoot. we do not know how much he learned at his rifle club, he obviously improved and was super intelligent. I think he wanted a different nominee.
So, the REALLY big elephant in the room that nobody is talking about, in regards to the family of the person that was shot and killed. Do they now sue the Secret Service for not neutralizing this threat? Do they sue the gunman's family for allowing this to happen? Or, do they sue the local police for failure to have a secure scene? 😳

Will we ever know how that interaction went? occifer "What are you doing up here?" kid "I'm working, leave me alone." shows rifle occifer drops to the ground goes inside. Occifer's supervisor "What happened?" occifer "Ah some rude sniper kid was taking position up on the roof and gave me a Uvalde." supervisor "Wow, we don't wanna be involved with any of that." Occifer "Want a donut?" supervisor "Naw, Trump just started talking, go tell those people to stop yelling about the kid on the roof, an get their ID, will ya?"
Same with the "sniper" that is shown wearing the "police" vest and using the rental rifle to take the kid out. Makes me wonder what production company was employed to host the event. Even the crowd had characters that tour the country, there was the three men in hats, one in blackface, even the special effects crew with the backhoe spraying water fluid onto the immovable crowd. So many symbols and hidden meanings.
Thanks so much. As a clinical psychologist, I feel pretty isolated in my profession. It is definitely not a “safe space” to be surrounded by my colleagues and have any kind of conservative opinion. Love your videos!
Same here. As a scientist I couldn't let anything remotely conservative slip out or I would be treated like a crazed lunitic. For people who follow the data in their work it was astounding to see a complete absence of critical thinking. Emotions completely short circuited every brain cell in the organization.
