Early 2000s was when Star Wars was at its peak

In September 2004 where was I? I was just starting my 3rd grade school year... shows how old I have gotten. In my opinion Star Wars Battlefront 1 is overlooked as Star Wars Battlefront 2 was released a year later. Ever since Battlefront 2 released Battlefront 1s modding community went to Battlefront 2 and has been active for decades making great mods even in 2024. The only thing I dislike about Battlefront 1 is unkillable Jedi/Sith units unless you knock them off the cliff with a grenade, land on them or run them over.

I was 9 when it came out and immediately started playing it when it came out. I do not think, being so young, that any of my friends or I knew it just came out but within about a few months almost EVERYONE who gamed had it and played it. I played it for probably like 7 or more years semi regularly. Now when ever I want to feel like a kid again or play the best star wars stimulator ever

When Classic Battlefront came out I wasn't even born yet. Also please stream this mod on the weekend so I don't miss it because of school.

I still remember as a kid playing the first two Battlefronts with my brother and my friends. What a fun time.

I remember my first time playing this game was at my local Best Buy. I hadn't seen the ads for it, it was just on demo, and I was blown away that we could finally play as troopers. My first level ever was Hoth. Then when my cousin got it, we played it a ton around that Christmas. Those were great times. It'll always be a core memory for me, I was 12 years old.

I got into this game when it came out. I can't believe it was 20 years ago now. I remember playing the game in blockbuster on their little demo TVs.

I'm honoured you chose to play my Anniversary Edition mod to celebrate 20 years! I'm assuming you're playing on the digital release here - the hover vehicles are all tied to the framerate and the people who updated the game for steam/GOG forgot to cap the FPS to 60 as the disc-based versions are. The result is that weird spinning you saw with the speeder bike. To answer your question re. Classic Collection: unfortunately, it is not compatible with CC, it only works with disc-based and steam/GOG versions of the game. Aspyr did some screwy things with that version of the game. Basically, no mod's scripts will work, they have to be completely recompiled to work.

Just got back into the game after some time these last couple of days, and gotta say, the game still holds up incredibly in my opinion even after 20 years. It's fun to play. I still prefer Battlefront 2 (2005), but this game is very good too.

I do remember Star Wars Battlefront (2004), it was on the original Xbox. BTW, Dark Trooper was worth it for 2024.

Hey what's up it's Seismic Charge long time no see! Anyways this modder named giftheck made an anniversary edition mod for this game for the 20th anniversary and the mod basically turns it into the EA Battlefronts more so the GCW Era since it even adds the music from Battlefront 2015 into classic Battlefront 1 along with new sound effects for the vehicles to make them sound like the EA Battlefront vehicles and the weapons too. There's also another Remaster mod called EGM by Antstaffer which remasters all the units with better looking HD Models and their own Remastered sound effects but giftheck also made a sound mod that is compatible with other mods like the EGM mod. You have the choice between Free Radical Battlefront 3 sound effects or the sounds from EA Battlefront to mix with other mods.
