First person I've seen that discovered the double scrap at 7 and a half minutes. Every one else just says 5 minutes for 50% bonus scrap. Takes 34,100 scrap to make mk2 Lynx armor & a mk2 weapon (with the 2 Lynx you get for free) Takes 265,429 scrap to go from 10 core power to 55 core power FYI Started a new character and wanted a fast start.
thank you for this everyone else just rambles on and makes no sense ive already made it to level 39 using normal farming methods after only playing a few hours now ima level up so fast with this info
To everyone watching now, date is 12/05/2020. This still is viable on at least PS4. Takes a little time, but in about 30 minutes I got up around 160k scrap. Gonna try and go for another hour or so, I'll be back to update then.
27/08/2021 - Still works, but in PS4 pro it caps at 9.999.999 tech scrap. If you try to duplicate 10kk tech scrap, you won't get em, you will only get the 10kk tech scrap. If you want to duplicate, make sure to always try with 9.999.999 or less.
Still works as of 07/09/2022. Only did it twice fro 20k and 30k scrap. This also makes it easy to get the achievement for killing a boss while carrying 20k scrap. Or maybe it's 30k? Not sure.
24/May/2024 still works on PS4. As others have pointed out in PS4 you have a limit to die with 9.999.999, because if you die with more than that the trick doesn't work, but with less than that quantity works perfect.
This video helped me out big time I had no idea you could reset the enemies with the clock still running I also didn't know that 7 minutes would double I knew that 5 minutes would give you 70%, but I thought that was the limit
This is true and makes sense while you are getting up to just below 10 million, but once you are there I believe it makes more sense to double it, then get it down to just below 10 million again by levelling up and/or banking it and then double it again...
Another way to farm scrap like crazy (not on the 5 mil per run, but still ok) is to run to the assembly bench in first loc but not use medbay. Assembly bench respawns enemies on the map, but does not reset scrap multiplier, so you can just run around with atrocious multipliers and earn huge amount of scrap from early enemies.
Does this still work? I don’t think I’ve seen a higher scrap multiplier than 2x. I’m at end game and I’m equipping the implants that increase scrap drops to farm
just did it . started from 0 credit and level 24. stooped at level 215 and 14 mil in the bank . spent the rest on leveling up . had 34 mil at some point. doesn't really change the game you just have spare power you can't use ...:)
why would i need this when i have the freacking mouse armor and 50 core power from being stick in the first level? i like this idea by the way, i am just flexing
I had to watch the video twice because I could not make it out properly. I ended up clearing the yard of 15 enemies in 5 rounds of 3:30min each then cash out. I did this successfully 8 times and it gave me close to 9 millions.
For others on ng+ I was able to double at 9mil but not 10.5 so little better thinking it goes like that for every NG hope so cause with those 25 core cost mods jeez
All You Have To Do Is Run Around Kill All The Enemy Al Then Head Back To The Craft Bench To Respawn Back All The Enemies you Just Killed .(I might Just Process All Over the Map Then).
Late to the game here, but what he means is that certain healing items are consumable, like the Estus flask was in Dark Souls. They heal a lot of health all at once but you have limited uses per run, and you have to go back to the Ops station to refill them at the chair, which resets everything in the level. Alternatively, there are healing items that heal less per use but convert your energy bar into health rather than use a consumable item. This method of healing has unlimited uses.
I believe it makes more sense to just take it to the 5 minute mark (1.5 times tech scrap), because you can get to 5 minutes from 1 circuit on this route, then kill yourself (F4 on keyboard) and repeat the route. If you do that twice starting with 1 thousand scrap, you get 1,000 x 1.5 = 1,500 then 1,500 x 1.5 = 2,250 tech scrap. It takes less time to do it this way twice, than it does to do it your way once, due to not having to enter ops to reset it, and you would only end up with 2,000 by going to 7.5 minutes/2 circuits. It makes sense to switch back to the 7.5 minute method once you reach just under 10 million scrap, you can then double that, spend the tech scrap on levels until you are back down to just under 10 million scrap again, do the 7.5 minute method again... keep repeating until you get to the level you want, or until you are bored. It is a good route and by following your video I have made my 2nd playthrough more interesting (and easier), it is allowing me to slot in every implant I want on NG so far!
An easy way to get to a decent starting point of tech scrap is to use 4 modifiers in an episode of the dlc the good, the bad and the augmented, you can increase your tech scrap gains in the episode by up to 5x that way
I am currently using a 28 slot rig and have 520 core power, which is less than the 535 core power I need for the implants that I want. Were I to get up to the maximum 36 slots in NG++++, I believe I would want 659 core power :/
and why you should do this its the start from the game. I prefear to play it normaly and have my progression on the way and the game is not that hard that you need to grind that mutch. I hope for a Surge 3 but this time with a even bigger interconnected world and a bit depper char development and progression.
I'm wondering have you had trouble getting the full rhino gear. I'm still in the first part of the game I barely started playing, and the person wearing the rhino gear only spawns with the arms and the legs 😔
