Growing a Fatalii plant in an 18 gallon pot had great results for me summer 2022! 230+ pods harvested! This plant was planted February 2021 so this is its second season, which gave it a good head start. I’ll be posting a video of my overwintering process soon. Please comment what you would like to see me do with all these peppers!

I appreciate that you make videos that cover longer spans of time. So many gardening channels do not make that long term effort to show the results over time like this.

Thank you! It’s not the easiest way to make content, and it makes it hard to consistently come out with videos. I think it’s worth the effort though and I’m glad you feel the same! I’m just trying to produce the kind of content that I enjoy watching too.

I hope you saved some seeds from that fatali. That's a good strong strain right there! Also, if you take your green pods and put them in a paper bag or a plain Walmart shopping bag at room temperature they'll ripen up in a few weeks

Great video! I wonder how many times you can over-winter a plant? Fatalii plants produce a lot of peppers. They are super spicy and have a really great flavor.

Thank you! I love Fataliis the peppers smell so great when you slice them too. I’m hoping the plant makes it through this winter for it’s 3rd season. I know they can live 5+ years in climates that allow, so I’m hoping I can get at least 3 seasons in with overwintering.

Great stuff! What type of fertilizer did you use besides the kelp? and How often were you fertilizing? Thanks!

Thanks! In addition to the kelp I added some homemade compost when I filled the pot and again about 6 weeks later as a top dressing. I was also adding 2 tbsp of the granulated fertilizer once a month and it was a Home Depot product. It was their Vigoro 12-10-5 product with added calcium. I would link it but the link is huge when I copy paste it!

Dehydrate them and then grind them into a powder.

That’s actually what I ended up doing with a lot of them! Such an easy and compact way to store them for later. I have a video of dehydrating some of these pods on my page too.
