@@AlaniLTD it could be but kegs are not that deadly it's better to stand back and repair quick if that's the case I believe (unless you don't have resources but we don't know). But it was just a joke anyway so it doesn't matter
@@FoxboyAlex He wouldn't survive, and the mast could probably break. He could jump down asap and shoot the keg before it's too late but if he missed things could get worse. He did a smart play but the kegger didn't want to board, probably just blast them from underneath.
Honestly, I was just scrolling through my recommended videos and this came up! I'm the uh, very smart individual who harpooned the keg, think we headed off shortly after this as we just sold, good game though!
It actually would've worked if the angle was higher. Kegs blow up if harpooned to your boat at a harsh angle, moreso on the bigger ships. First had it happen to me a couple months ago. The fuse had 3-4 secs left to grab it off the harpoon and defuse, so it was a decent move. Plus, checking the fuse isn't too easy in the moment at that range.
I think those guys didn't know you lit the barrel to be completely honest, because if the barrel wasn't lit and they snatched it out of your hand, that would have been very smart but all they did there was kill themselves while keeping you alive
The keg exploded because of the angle they harpooned it at. Items on a harpoon are considered floating in water by the physics engine for whatever reason, and as such if you turn it sideways far enough it can collide with the railing which has the same result of it actually being floating and running into it. If you harpoon it at the wrong angle, this is what happens. The keg had about 3 or 4 seconds left on its fuse when it detonated.
@@ultmateragnarok8376 that’s actually great info, me and my friends have been puzzling over why a barrel went off while moving it back to the ship for like a month lol. We could never recreate it effectively, but that makes sense
It does not. It can explode at nearly any horizontal angle from the harpoon being pointed downwards, and it used to just instantly explode when hit by the harpoon, but it doesn't have any changed mechanics when lit.
In all fairness, it wasnt the worst move. idk about you guys but i just drop keg in front of the ship without lighting it. He would've saved the ship if he was going against me. (I do that because lighting the keg is too loud and will get me caught before i want them to know whats going on)
Yeah, that language is a culmination of like three different languages, in a very literal sense Im told. Basically, it cycles through a german, english, and french word.
@@pak3ton habe is having if I'm right. We also learn german and french in school, but I only had it for 3 years so we got the basics and some sentences.
one time i sold my loot and i didnt want somebody to take it so i went right next to an outpost, jumped off my ship and sold my skull and he was chasing after my ship that i wasn’t on the ship and i used a mermaid to get back and i sunk his ship is that a smart play or not?
How did you survive that barrel?! OHH THE HARPOON! LMAO I mean, it's not that bad of an idea, most people don't light up the fuse, but still, hilarious xD
my brain died for a bit i thought i was gonna listen to eglish and became confused when i didnt understand the language.... then i did cause i noticed it was belgian.... so weird how that works
Annoying Players: Those who are bored and chase you around the map just to kill you. I literally passed 5 outposts and the same ship chasing me like they had nothing to do. PS: The "fight" did not end well at all, and why the quotes? Because it was not a fight, my boat was a punching bag, and their cannons, the boxer's hands.
I do this because chasing others is a lot more exciting than collecting make-believe money! However I am a very bad player so if you got sank it probably wasn't me
@@woutertron start doing the tall tales, to go looking for trouble like a fool, go to Pvp mode. I'm not saying that chasing someone else is bad, but already walking behind someone for about 10 minutes is going too far.
@@martinseara877 well they r everywhere cant avoid those larvae always easy to spot by their stubborn behavior like u said "chasing for 10min" and wasting ur time for nothing like annoying mosquitos but all they do is team up with equal aimless parasites and their main weapon is time which they have in abundance so u can either try to find someone like u and team up or find a faster ship to waste more of their time so they get bored chasing or prepare traps whatever wins u time
Me and a friend were playing on a brig and we were following this reaper dude. He tried to keg us and was able to blow us up but we recovered so fast I think we spooked him and he was running from us the rest of the game lol. He prop got his maxed reaper alliance flag from stealing kills and kegging unsuspecting players
I had random clips on my pc and uploaded them with random titles. This one is sarcastic. I didnt know this would get this many views. I thought max 5 or something.
It would've been cool if he harpooned the keg while it was lit, grabbed it from the harpoon, and put it out. Have yet to see someone pull that off, it always explodes lol
I thought he was gonna harpoon the keg when it was lit, get the keg off of the harpoon, disarm it, and drop it off the back of the ship to get rid of it. Unfortunately it touched the ship when he harpooned it/he got unlucky on the harpoon of the keg, and it blew up (kegs have a chance to blow up when you harpoon them)
Well worth $30 if you join the Discord and find decently skilled, helpful, or fun people to chill with. Solo it can be chill and simple or feel like just fetch quests with major hassle to keep your stuff from larger crews, much less beating them. What my peeve is is that I dig the chill fetch or grindy world event stuff and want people to leave me to my challenge, especially when solo, but I can't get away with that half the time. So I wish for more chill or private servers when I don't have time to get teammates, but not a big deal for a lot of people to enjoy the game. My other peeve is that PvP combat might be only 2-30 mins every several hrs, so it doesn't feel like a vital need to play, but you'll get your butt kicked without practice, or just cause so much game time rides on a few shots or smart moves. Obvious case in point here: one keg being grabbed the wrong way or wrong time and some or all shipmates are dead and sunk quick. The other dude could/should have defended anchor instead of reviving his crew, then sailed away and patched for a bit.
You think he harpooned the barrel to minimize damage, think about it if the barrel only hits the front of the ship than the back of the boat is safe there for less holes. 🤔 maybe, maybe not who knows.
Belgium is basically divided in two. One part speaks french, the other speaks what is called Flämisch in my language, I guess some sort of mix between dutch, a little french and german.
Almost ALWAYS the best play. Keeps them from pursuing/fleeing, them from getting a better shot angle, your boat time to get a good angle towards the front or back of their ship (they mentioned turning around now that the sloop is vulnerable?), and can be devastating or impossible to recover from if you keep fire/firing on it. Taking out masts is maybe more challenge, more crippling.
