AWESOME video! Thank you for posting this!! I just heard about this on the show Beyond Oak Island! It’s AMAZING how all those items survived n look brand new!! I would definitely love to visit that museum!!
Wow as someone who is trying to collect restore and give old things new life I wish I had the contents of a boat like this. I was just at Lincoln's New Salem in Illinois and got to see a barn frame loom and great wheel spinning wheel in person hopefully I'll get the chance to build my own and use the sheep I'm raising
Everything there was amazing… And in great quantity. And they haven’t cleaned everything yet either. I will definitely be going back next year as they rotate out the contents as they clean new items. Good luck with your spinning wheel!
I had always thought of these old river boats as just floating gambling resorts, I should have realised they were so much more, thanks for another interesting and informative video, I'd best subscribe.
I was at this place in 2009. It is fascinating to see. At the same time we saw a huge room where people were busy cleaning and restoring the cargo that was found in the vessel.
They employ a full time Preservation expert as well as a few restoration specialists. It’s my understanding that they have only cleaned about half of what I found! Can you imagine?
@@JulianGower It is great that the items have been preserved like that, and give us a glimpse into the past. Sounds just like the Titanic in many ways ps I have subscribed to your channel, being a student of history.
