I wasn't around for the days of mostly simple soap scents but I still gravitate toward simpler scents today. I guess there is room for both since I'm not likely to buy cologne scents but many people prefer cologne dups or very complicate scents. It's impressive that Zingari Man has custom scents mixed by legit perfumers. Aaaaanyway, always love your videos. Thanks for making them. Have a super day!

Thankfully a lot of those simpler scents are still around and plenty of people still buy them. I won’t say no to variety, I just think sometimes things get really complex just for the sake of itself, rather than to prove a point.

Hey Ben, awesome shave! Appreciate you putting out a video even where you’re exhausted. Really enjoyed the bowl lather segment in this video. Great explanation of your off camera method. I sometimes put a lot of water in right away just for fun to see how the soap behaves. It’s fun to experiment with that. I have a tallow version of his vanilla tobacco soap and I love it. It’s a sweeter spicier version of Tom ford tobacco vanille. Have a great week man!

Hey Ben, I remember you saying you didn’t enjoy the Gamechanger .68 because of the blade feel. Doesn’t the Lupo .58 have more blade exposure, yet you seem to enjoy the Lupo a lot. Great shave, thanks!

Great question. On paper yes the Lupo has more exposure. But you’re not considering cap and guard geometry; how the blade is presented to your skin and at what angle, relative to the shape of the baseplate. I’ve shaved before with two different razors that had the exact same blade gap and blade exposure, but they were built very differently, and therefor, shaved very differently. That’s not something you can quantify or measure mathematically, you have to feel it in order to know.

Hey Ben! Great shave! Im trying out a Lupo for my next shave. After listening to your last interview with Aaron, I’ve de to try out my bowl lathering skills. You guys made some good points about bowl lathering vs tub lathering. I’ve decided to bowl lather for every shave with different soaps for the next month to build on my skills for bowl lathering and see if I like it better than tub lathering. Have not tried Trig blades, my favorite Treet blades are the Platinum and the DuraSharp, not overly sharp but give me a smooth shave. "Nirvana" wasn't that a rock band? anyway that scent sounds interesting.👍🤠

Nirvana was a rock band as a matter of fact. All the Treet Blades I’ve tried have been hit and miss, even amongst blades in the same pack.

I’m surprised that razor got ya on the neck. For me it was extremely mild and barely caught hair.

Could’ve been operator error for some of it. I was tearing through there without a lot of attention to detail. Though I will say I’m not super thrilled with these blades.
