This cabin is beautiful. The logs and that fireplace. Can you imagine a whole family living in a cabin like this? I'm sure life was harder back then but at the same time simpler
I can get there in 10 minutes. My family has been in this same county since 1700s. Sadly developers and move ins are ruining what once was a very unique place. They come because they “love the mountains” but don’t like not having all the amenities of the city. Very few outsiders truly “love” the mountains. If they did they wouldn’t try hard as they can to change it once they get here.
I know where that is...I have read the foxfire books written about Appalachian ways of life...did you get to see the bioluminescent fungi, the foxfire itself? It is also called will o' the wisp.
The workmanship is breathtaking to me! I love the way each log is fitted to build the home, and the rocks from the soil make the chimney stove. IF only that type of craftsmanship and pride was put into building home now....but we live in a lazy disposable time😢 I love seeing these shorts!! Arkansas has a few places but nothing like Georgia
wow, ty for more views inside. Its so beautiful. I can only imagine the wife cooking at the fireplace. How many were raised inside that cabin..ty Robert, love this!!!!
