I replaced my top idler pulley twice and it lasted only 500 miles before it started to chirp again. I was told not to use the washer that was on the OEM pulley. I didn’t on the third try and the belt ran more in the center of the pulley. Several years later it is working fine and is quiet.
That help me out a lot cuz my ratchet was hitting the fan and I was like wtf am I doing wrong did they give me the wrong belt something and I seen this video thank u
Another way to take the belt off is to pull two front bolts from the alternator and keep the third bolt just a tad bit loosen. Then grab the alternator and shifted it towards you as yours in front of your vehicle.😢
0:22 "However, I do need to take both of them off..." Why would you need to remove BOTH idler pulleys, just to replace one? They operate completely independent of each other.
Very helpful video. Very much appreciate it. I watched it a couple of times over a month or two . I've been checking around for prices but, I've notice that a lod of parts stores want to sell me the whole kit. I'm only asking for the bottom tension round pulley? Can I buy that part? 1
