This was free in off the Facebook Marketplace in Henrico, Virginia and I would never pass up a free Original.
Aside from being filthy and having a bit of scratching on the switch housing from the previous owners not being gentle with the fan, the condition is nice. The person seemed reluctant to give it to me because they noticed that it was "leaking oil," but I had my rags handy.
Obviously, I cleaned this fan thoroughly and lubricated it for the video. I only installed it with five blades, but it can be installed with four as well. I did not feel like putting the canopy on it, sorry.
The particular era of Original in this video is what many consider to be the best ones they made. The two-amp motor is incredibly powerful and of excellent quality while having a slow, subtle low speed.
