@@Jahgocrazy.it’s an slk 230. These cars had the “amg package” so people like to throw amg badges on them but these cars are nowhere near an actual amg

I have a straight piped slk as well without the cats, mine sounds a million times better once you upgrade the headers. The log style header is what makes it sound like a fart box

@@gabrielmarchesy cheap dna headers. 4-2-1, sound pretty good I. My opinion, however if you do have a 2000-2004 i recommend looking for other options as I had to “persuade” cylinder one to fit because it was coming in contact w the kompressor

Sounded good at idle but it sounded like a Honda Civic after the muffler fell off during acceleration. He will be back for a quality muffler. Borla, Magnaflow maybe?

@@HyresSubaruprojects No one here "hates the car." I don't like the hack job done to it. I sounds like crap and needs a quality exhaust system. It is a Mercedes. Not an old truck.

@@phil955iIt is a trial and error situation. Sometimes you have to try different combinations til you find the right one. Unfortunately we didn't have RU-vid and channels like this to check out the different setups back when I started working on cars back in the 80s.

AMG 😂 Proof if ever it was needed that just sticking a straight pipe on without any silencing whatsoever does not a good sound make. Needs a glass pack at the very least.
