The 2000 NFL Season edition of the Road To The Super Bowl. Sadly, it was the last season of 2 of the NFL's all-time home field advantages: Denver's Mile High Stadium and Pittsburgh's Three Rivers Stadium.
Interesting that the hit against Gannon was classified as a “big shot” rather than an incredibly dirty play by Siragusa that it was. He targeted to eliminate Gannon.
IMO, 2000 was the last great NFL season. Before 9/11 shook the nation and before two guys by the name of Brady and Belichick stole the spotlight for years to come.......as if a dark cloud has loomed over the NFL landscape and society since. Although at 12:56, that was a hilarious way to start a season. I was fixing dinner and suddenly I heard Pat Summerall announce the Eagles start the game with a successful onside kick. I was like, what? 🤣 Who does that?
