I currently have two of these large pirate ships, 2 of the schooner ships and 8 of the smaller sloop type ships. I don't use them as "kids toys" however, I have modified them to use them with my 54mm (1/32nd scale) pirate figures and other naval figures in outdoor naval wargames. I place a 20ft x 20ft heavy duty blue plastic tarp down on the ground for my "ocean", I use several different sets of rules to conduct my naval engagements. Great fun for a 74 year old kid!
Indeed, this is the coolest ,more detailed and biggest Pirate ship Playmobil has ever realised. Still have mine in perfect condition , my favorite toy! Underatted ship and great review man!
@PlaymoBello Let me explain, at 6:47 you open the cargo doors and the cannons are inside, on 5135 the cargo hold is enclosed so you can't fit cannons but you can still fit treasure. The area by the anchor as seen at 7:23 is closed off and instead of real cannons the ship just has little slot in fake cannons, apart from that they are identical in terms of molding
In fact, since both sets are fully compatible, I merged them to create my ideal version: From the 5135, I love the color combination, while the 3940’s red bridge and dirty gray hull never appealed to me. So, I swapped the lower bridge from the 5135 with the one from the 3940, allowing me to add all 8 cannons and the cabin accessories. It turned out fantastic!
I have two of these large pirate ships. I also have two of their Viking long ships which I have modified to use with my 54mm Tehnolog Viking figures that I use in my naval battles.
I always wanted this ship. This was before they increase the size of canons to huge toys which took too much place in the game space and were simply too big compared to the figurines. I never wanted the toy to throw a ball far way! Give me a small projectile and I'll simulate the firing!
I removed the fake cannons and replaced them with cannons from the Weapons & Warriors pirate set which are more in scale with the Playmobil ships. I actually wargame outdoors with these ships with 54mm (1/32nd scale) pirate miniatures. Yo ho, ho and a bottle of rum!
@@PlaymoBello no the "cannons" are just little plastic inserts so the cargo hold is boxed off and the area around the anchor is filled in. The upper deck above the cabin still lifts up though
I have one and it is in an OK condition. Most of the items are with it. I want to sell it because i have to move and I dont have any space for it. If you want you can contact with me.
I like this set a lot but it's too expensive for me which is why I got 5135 it's a shame that it has the fake cannons like 6678 but I think the colours are better and more realistic so I don't mind
@@PlaymoBello I have something cool to tell you! Because it uses the same mold even though it has fake cannons if you swap out its cabin/cargo hold insert for 3940's one you can create the best pirate ship ever!
The Fact that the Set has rereleased as 5135 in 2011 isn, t all right because they had made other Moldes so you cant put Canons into the Shop because the Front Arena is closed and the middle Arena is in this Set only a Storage Arena the Canons who you can saw there are only Fakes which you put into the hull of the Ship.
@@PlaymoBello But I can' t understand why they had made this because they mist change all moldingshapes for the New Version so I ask my self why thes don' t has reused the Moldingshapes from 2000 which has allready Exist at this point. In my opinion a Real Mindfuck🤯
