2000's Movie Characters that MultiVersus should add in 2024 

I did want to address Buddy’s throw move… I definitely should have put more thought into the name, and had no intentions of offending anyone. Sorry about that 😓

Buddy the Elf - Neat choice. I can see that snowball move being fun to use. Osmosis Jones - I like this choice a lot, though I could see him more as a bruiser. V - Never seen this movie so I have no comment. The Conductor - Good choice with a neat gimmick. Jackie Legs - Really funny choice right there. I like weird choices such as these as they can help a roster stick out more.

I'm so glad you achknowledged Osmosis Jones. One of my more remembered movies. And what better way to have a fantastic return to form for Multiversus than including a character once voiced by Chris Rock! He should voice the character again, not Phil LaMarr. That'll bring in a massive audience. Also, I never knew Elf was a Warner Bros. film as well. That's one of the most beloved Christmas classics of the naughts, and Buddy deserves to be a playable character based on that alone. Another character you could've included was someone from The Ant Bully. All this time I thought it was a Nickelodeon film, but it was instead from the WB themselves. I think either Zoc or Fugax (for the Bruce Campbell fans) would be great playable characters.

Great choices all around!!! I would love to see Buddy the Elf in the game and I came up with a fun gimmick. If you hold down Snowball Throw, Buddy will start to make more snowballs. When you let go the attack, he will start tons of snowball in rapid succession, and he can free move or aim in any direction. The downsize will be that it has long end lag, but you can cancel the attack if you do another attack. Just a idea of mine, have a great day!!!

Man I love the idea of the Conductor, but I feel as if there was a missed opportunity to do something with hot chocolate.

These are all really solid picks, I'd say Buddy and Osmosis Jones are in my top 50 characters for this game. I do think that the Conductor should come along with the Polar Express as a stage, similar to the Spirit Tracks level in Smash Bros. I feel it would be an interesting layout.

I think these are some solid picks. I would love if Ozzie and Drix got in the game in some capacity. I think Buddy would be a good and fun pick. I like your ideas for the conductor but I feel like we are far more likely to see a stage instead of a character but who knows? I think Kangaroo Jack could be fun. V would be pretty dope too.

I've seen quite a few people suggest Buddy, but I don't see him as a character with much potential honestly. He seems like he'd probably just have a generic moveset where he just whacks people with giant candy canes or presents. I do think the snowball move could be a unique and fun projectile if he throws multiple in rapid-fire like in the footage you showed rather than being a bog-standard projectile, but I don't think that's enough to carry him as a character. Osmosis Jones is another name I've seen thrown around, but again, he seems pretty basic with some hand-to-hand combat capabilities and a blaster. I will admit seeing how fluid his body can be gives him some interesting possibilities, particularly with evasion, but I can see him coming off as a poor man's Neo in a way. V was a character I didn't really see fitting for this game from what little I knew about his movie, but after having seen that clip of the throwing knives and I know now how stylised it is, I think he could fit in fine with a game as over-the-top as this. A character who revolves around knives instead of just using them for a few attacks would be pretty unique. I'm gonna have to say no to The Conductor, sorry; he really doesn't seem to have much moveset potential. The ticket mechanic is an interesting idea but it's just not enough, and I'm not sure how to feel about a character that changes how everybody else plays. I think The Polar Express could be better represented as a stage where players fight atop the train, maybe with some hazards and a cameo from The Conductor himself. He could even have an announcer pack! Yes to Jackie Legs, even if his films have both been of a... questionable quality. A kangaroo would be a pretty unique fighter amongst the cast and fit in with the silly antics of a platform fighter very well (definitely more fitting here than in Tekken, that's for sure). He'd have a lot of kick and tail attacks for sure, but I think it wouldn't hurt to take a liberty and give him some boxing attacks from the dream sequence in the second movie to fill out his moveset a bit more (given how the second movie was more cartoonish and even had magic in it I don't think this would be too much of a stretch). I don't think he needs the pocket gimmick though, but I would probably give him that yo-yo for a couple of moves. I think eating a spicy jawbreaker would make a fine taunt; it's one of the only moments from the movie I actually remember. Also this is probably a bit too late to give this criticism at this point with how few videos you have left to go in this series, but I feel like many of the special moves you pitch feel more like regular attacks, such as Ozzy's Headbutt, The Conductor's Lantern Whack and Jackie's Dropkick. There's nothing wrong with pitching normal attacks, don't get me wrong, but when you're trying to sell us on characters and many of them have specials that sound more like standard attacks, it doesn't really make those characters come off as all too interesting and damages your chances of winning people over on them.
