I purchased a 2001 V6 about 4 years ago. Super clean. It was my son's first car, and I received nothing but complaints. He indeed showed me he knew ABSOLUTELY nothing about cars! Today he's beginning to appreciate the overall reliability of the vehicle's easy and low-cost maintenance.
Love the shape of this Camry model, i took a ride in one of these models run as illegal taxis in Abu Dhabi. A lot of them were US imports and could run forever. How do these dashboard stereo consoles stay intact even after so many years. Salute to those who created these models.
I appreciate the thorough video on how you check these cars out. I just got a 1999 with 143k miles for 2900. I feel like I got a fairly good deal. At least I'm happy with it!
My brother has a 2002 Camry XLE V6 with SE rims and 3mzfe swap with a cold air intake and my neighbor has a 2006 Camry XLE V6 longest lasting cars I had a 1999 Avalon XLS and I got Acura now until I get money saved up for a Lexus GS350.
You did a good job really checking out everything on this car. Cool to see how much you really love and know about these cars. Looks nice a nice find but personally the faded paint and peeling clear coat would trigger my OCD.
I checked Kelley Blue Book and in the condition this car is in which would be either Good or Fair, it is way overpriced and nobody should pay more than $3,000 or maybe $2,800 max for this car. Mechanically, it's nice but cosmetically, yes it needs some attention. Can't wait to see you in a Camry soon enough!
Nice video I got an 98 camry 2.2l with 359,609 miles runs good but oil leak rear main seal but now doesn't leak because I put a higher weight oil new subscriber aswell
Put A BOTTLE OF""" AT-205"" RESEAL IN THE MOTOR WHERE U PUT THE OIL . AND SEE IT ACTUALLY SEAL THE LEAK PERMANENTLY! 😉 ITS SOLD AT AMAZON OR ADVANCED AUTO PARTS
I bought a 1998 V6 LE about a year ago. It had 143,000 miles, zero rust (Colorado) and a bunch of new parts (brakes, battery, struts, control arms and sway bar bushings). I gladly paid $3000 for it. Just bought a brand new set of Michelins for this upcoming winter. Worth every cent. The AC will still freeze you out on a hot day! I've even had random people ask me if I wanted to sell it. No way.
You seem to be pretty knowledgeable when of comes to these cars so im looking at a 2000 camry XLE V6 with 204k miles its super clean for the year fully loaded sunroof no dents super clean leather interior guy wants $3k cant talk him down what do you think?
I have a 1999 Camry with 388K miles on it. Bought it new. It is a 6cyl - five speed manual. On my second clutch. It runs like new. It's not pretty - but no car payments! My friends have all gone through 3 to 4 to 5 cars since I bought mine. They laugh at how reliable my car is and how much they have forked out in cash for the latest and greatest crap they now sell
@@100mgd I live in Arizona - absolutely no rust on the car - sun faded - LOL - no I won't sell it ever - It qualifies for Historic Vehicle plates now - LOL - but I still have the old maroon AZ plates that came with the car
@@kylechellino2579 still in the repair shop, no clue what's going on. Also even prepaid $400 for labor or parts. I'll be checking in next week in person to see what's going on.
