The energy density of gasoline or diesel in a portable generator is so much higher, this box is worthless especially in rural settings. I can't go out and conduct health and welfare aid in a rural area I.e feeding and keeping people warm with a solar electrically recharged box. Well this is good for certain small portable projects, you really can't get any real work done with this and you're better off buying the generator.
True about keeping people warm, that is a very high load for electric heat but even gas would run out with those loads fast. Battery units are ideal is totally remote settings with solar input but moderate loads, especially intermittent ones
@@SilverCymbal The one and two KW units run a long time (many many hours) on a tank of gas. I cook with the electric, run lights, and operate emergency radios in places cell phones don't always work. Heat is a good old fashioned fire. This is a cool box but it is not ready to run your fridge in a serious power outage.
