I think it's just because people don't watch TV as much so you don't see these commercials or Halloween specials. Plus as an adult it's not really expected of you to still dress up and get candy or even party, but everyone expects you to get presents for Christmas.

I'd say mid-2010s is when it happened, its a lost of creativity. Commercials used to have a little storyline put in it but now its just buy into it we don't care anymore.

Quarantine at the new maze in Knott’s Scary Farm, it’s will celebrate Quarantine’s 15th anniversary of terror. I was dressed as Princess Fiona for Halloween, I was 7 years old two days later turned 8, I’ll dress up as Grim Reaper for Halloween in October, or a witch.

Dude I remember rushing for the TV remote every time it came on so I could change the channel in time. That movie scared the shit out me as a 10 yo.
