Bike looks great. I have gone through a simular situation on a 2003 sportster I picked up with only 5,000 miles on it which sounds good but the bike sat and you know what that caused ,but I finally finished it and its on the road running great. I also wanted you to know I finished my 95 softail transmission work installing Baker components which I learned to do from watching you. I watch you all the time and have learned a great deal from your videos. I just wanted you to know there are the ones who really listen and watch what you do on your channel and its a great help learning to work on these great machines.thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience . Stay well and be safe out there riding .

Have you started on the chopper yet? Thank you for the shift pawl video, replaced mine during our last Michigan Winter on my 04 Deuce. It had a weak spring and wouldn't shift above 3rd. Runs like a champ now. The bike lift was definetly a back saver on that job! Keep up the great videos!

Thanks JC, yep that video only had about half the work in it that I did, but those were the only pictures of it that I had and I didn't make to many videos on it. I haven't been able to get back to the project bike yet been to busy. Hopefully in the next week I'll start on the frame so I can get that out and powder coated. This build will be for me, I already built a Fatboy for my son 4 years ago. I had to get some of the bikes outs here before I can start on the project bike. I just ran out room. Had 8 bikes in here at one point. How did you make out with the cam bushing?

@@tinkeringwithharleys I have a New Cam, cam bearing, cover on the way first one they did not hone the pinion bushing , no one in my area could hone it to size , shipped it back got a new one again be here today . no shavings in the engine I can see oil pan was clean as soon as the cover comes I will toss it together . I think the Bushing spun was all lot of HP on the EVO in 2012 they did a dyno it was 95 HP and a cam bearing went out . I pressed off the stock cam gear it is 2.747.7 its in spects with the book white pinion gear, will see it started acting up on a trip and i know when somethings not right by sound i checked leakdown and compression changed out lifters it was still knocking then i pulled the cam cover found the bushing slip in the cover . if i had went little deeper the first time i found it lol .

It probably was a combination of horsepower and wear that did it. I'm lucky I still have a machine shop here that knows how to do fine machining on Harley parts, but they're becoming fewer with the years. But that because everyone buys store bought electronic nightmares now instead of building there own. Really glad it didn't do any damage to the motor. What did you turn that into that your getting that much HP outa it?

Thanks Rich glad you like the video. Left the engine stock because it only had 6000 miles on so it's still a new motor. If it ever comes up for sale I'll let you know. Thanks for watching
