The first time I ever went on-line and searched "professional racquetball" (before RU-vid existed.) I found Spidey's website and watched a clip of this match. I was blown away. From the website, I purchased a DVD copy of the 2001 Michael Lanning Open match between Sudsey and Jason. I watched that match 100 times before the DVD just wouldn't play any more. I still have it because I can't bring myself to throw it away. Spidey, you should upload the rally from that match where Jason lets the serve go between his legs, dives twice, and ultimate kills the ball. Truly an amazing rally that I watched in slow mo mode... Over and over and over... Thanks Spidey!
Ok, I've only made it a little past the insane rally starting at 2:56 and had to rewind several times. I'm sure the rest of the video is amazing but this one is already another awesome post Spidey!!!! So great seeing Guidry and Ruben gutting it out!
Great video! Thanks for posting. Notice the "Pros" are dressed like "pros"!! Collared professional look...warm-ups, etc. No crappy t-shirts and down to their ankle basketball shorts. That's one of the reasons pro racquetball was respected back in "the day". T-shirts are for training, practice, etc. Dress like a pro, be respected as a pro. Facility was top notch. Sponsors logo placement and inclusion was first class..not just pasted on the highest spot the promoter could reach.
