"RUBEN" is all that is needed. He is truly among the all time racquetball elite!
RUBEN GONZALEZ-, Ruben Gonzalez turned pro in 1975. At age 37 he became the oldest player to finish #1 on the men's tour, oldest player to win the Pro Nationals, and was inducted into the USAR Hall of Fame in 2000. Gonzalez is also the oldest athlete to ever earn an appointment to the US National Team with numerous National Doubles titles to his name. He was named Geezer Jock player of the year in 2008. Ruben Gonzalez has excelled in the sport by maintaining the most consistent level of excellence by a single player over the course of a 20-year career on both the amateur and professional circuit On the pro circuit, Gonzalez captured his first tour title in 1989, which - at the time - earned him the distinction of becoming the oldest pro tour athlete to win such an event. Throughout his tour career, he has been recognized for his outstanding sportsmanship and dedication to fair play, while consistently finding himself - at each season’s end - with ranking positions among the top 10 through 1995.
TIM SWEENEY - The 31st player inducted into the Illinois State Racquetball Hall of Fame.
Tim came of age in 1987 by winning the ISRA State Open Championship. In 1988 he was 3rd in the U.S. Nationals and qualified to play on the U.S. Team. Competition in Illinois was some of the toughest in the nation in the late 80s.
Tim’s accomplishments are too numerous to list. But he accomplished some things that no other player ever has. He is the only player in racquetball history to win:
State Championships (1987, 2000-2001)
Regional Championships
National Singles and Doubles Championships
Pro Stop (1991, Woodfield)
Pan American Championships (Played in 3 - ’88, ’92 and ’94 - won 2 of them)
4 NCAA National Championships (1991 - 1995)

What a comeback! Ruben must’ve been about 42 or 43 at the time. Those boys were crushing that ball as well.

nice video, this is the oldest racquetball video I have seen. I wonder if there are videos of Cliff Swain that year, Kane was probably to young to be in proffesional racquetball in 1992
