We loved it. Like any older car, expect to replace a sensor here and there. that said, it was very very reliable -- it never misbehaved while in use. You're certainly rewarded for having a DIY mindset as this will bring cost way down over time. If you just want something to drive and never think about, I wouldn't recommend anything this old. Also, there are a lot of great guides for checking this, and other 4WD vehicles out before you buy. Definitely consult these lists, I looked at a lot of cars before we bought this one. On a driving experience note -- my wife and I both loved it, perfect mix of utility, lux, and price.
