You could tell the owner's passion for this vehicle, cool that it was passed down from family as well. Would be cool to see him get it on track and eventually put a stick shift if he wants to get it away from commuter duties.
Always wanted an IS300 ever since they came out but it never happened for me unfortunately. I always look at these lovingly when I see them on the road.
Hey man I picked mine up with less than 100k clean straight with 2 sets of new tires for 1000$ you would be surprised how many people that have one don't think its worth 10 gs
great vid. I don't think you've ever had a more passionate or educated guest on your channel. He knows every detail about his car and has a great reason why for every part he's put in.
I bought an is300 as my first car 2 years ago and it was supposed to be a beater and its surprised me with how much i have abused it and it handles it like a tank im so glad i chose this platform to be my first one to learn to modify cars lol
I’m debating if I should purchase one of these is300 in manual or sportcross or 350z ?. Even though is300 and 350z been my dream car since middle school
@@Sam-go3mb I trust you, do you trust me? Ive had mine since 2006. Its been through every 2j/transmission iteration i can think of. And it just sits and rots away because the fuel economy is bad and the car is not worth anything nowadays. Its just a drifter boi's shitbox. For reference my cars sticker was $44k before taxes. Enjoy your 4 door supra!
@@Sam-go3mb I believe you. I have owned an is300 since 2006. It's got a very chad 2jzgte single turbo swapped mated to an AR5 right now. It's rotting away cause no one wants to pay what its worth and I cba with the fuel economy
Those are nice cars very tough maintenance like everything else pretty reliable if you're looking for gas mileage everybody this is a performance car entry level good gas mileage is an afterthought if you can't afford the gas don't buy the car I've had mine for many years more recently bought a second no strange problems like all the new cars coming out if anybody has a problem with their climate control not working correctly there's a little a plug-in device that's inside the unit by the grill I'm talking about in the cabin in the Dash if that's the problem then buy a new unit the two foot of wire that may come with it or get it out of a junk vehicle but don't install it where it is in the car unplug it plug in your new wire and plug climate control controller I don't know what to call it it's smaller than a credit card put wires plug into it anyways disconnect the other one and leave it behind the glove box in case something goes wrong again and the system will work just fine you don't have to take the AC unit apart Tube replacement wires are on the outside of the box your new unit will sit outside of the box in the cabin temperature area that saved me a lot of money the part can be found online about 40 bucks I have a spinal fusion from a car accident it doesn't make my driving unpleasant all the other cars we're hard driving
I really like how you have made the car look probably one of the best I have seen the only thing I would do differently is the wheels I would probably put some rays on it what hood and bumper is it
