I can't help but notice the ironies in this vid. Larry saying the cars were the safest...Dale dies. Darrell saying he hopes to be in the booth when his brother wins his 1st race...Michael wins the 2001 Daytona 500. Kevin Harvick and Richard Childress, in the commercials, talking about Kevin moving up to Winston Cup someday....Kevin takes over Dale's ride. Looking back, this vid is so ironic, I can't believe it.
This is the coolest racing I've seen I wish that was for today for at least the 2023 season and right now for winter season so we are not bored until Speedweeks at Daytona feature L.A. Bush Clash.
@RooneyMac Yeah, exactly that. Why not swing it around? Maybe they did swap people but still. Shame. They also couldn't figure out the pit exit camera either.
@@SilentSpades guess they couldn't use _every_ camera angle the same. Maybe some "trademark" junk. That, and maybe the new networks wanted to do something different. Similar thing but different track, I kinda miss the old Darlington camera angles. Like whichever one was in the old turns 3&4 from the infield, the one at then backstretch pit exit as the cars came down the straightaway to turn 3, and the one from what was the front stretch stands picking up what was then the exit of 4. Seems whenever the track was "flipped" in 97, they quit putting cameras out there. I'd think those angles should come back for "throwback weekend" Kinda same thing happened with NW as well last year
What an awesome way to start the broadcast you know? That's how they should all do it now. Cut the fluff. Start the broadcast with the command and go racing!
I miss this series. The tickets for it during Speedweeks were SO cheap aswell. They sound really cool too. Wish it was still around, and I wonder what cars theyd be using? Honda Civics?
Christan Elder was in the Busch Series, Andy Lally is abroad course ringer, I only remember Johnny Chapman from wrecking with Jennifer Jo Cobb at Daytona
@@bruhtrain01 nice. i was just surprised not to see like a Busch or a Vickers. i dont know this series so idk who ran in it... just kinda surprised not to see more drivers i know of in it.
Yes and no regarding 2004 yes they were last televised in 2004 but no far as when the series ultimately ended. The series ended after the 2011 season. By then the ASA was the sanctuary body though it was called the ISCARS Dash Touring Series by then. NASCAR ended ties with the series after the 2003 season.
