2001 Nissan Maxima Starter Relay, Starter Fuse, Ignition Switch/ Starter Circuit Explained 

Interesting regarding the cruise control aspect of this connection. Mine stopped working years ago and i didn't bother trying to fix it. Now, when I turn the ignition to start it doesn't always start. Previously I swapped out the ignition switch which fixed the no-start issue but it's a problem again. I'll check the relay this time. Otherwise the Maxima has been a great, reliable car now with 300Kms on it! Manual. Love it.

You do an amazing work, the way you explain and execute. I HAVE A 1996 NISSAN MAXIMA GLE, AND THE FUSE BOX UNDER THE STEERING WHEEL IS DIFFERENT FROM THE ONE YOU HAVE. Is there a way that you can tell me which one is the right one? Thank you very much.

Excellent video. Just got done repairing the broken tabs on both the heat/AC and vent controls. Cheap thin plastic on this 06 Sentra for sure. Got everything together and the radio that did work, does not work now. All fuses in cab and engine well check good. I did not unhook the battery before starting the repair. Did I just fry the radio? Everything else working fine. But no radio. Comments/ Hope your repair is going better than mine. Thanks

Why they don't call the starter relay a starter relay I do not know but you pointed out that it's called and inhibit relay and all I had to do was tap on it and my car runs thank you

Had a starter relay/hibit that had to be tapped on to start a 2002 I35. Replaced it with a 15.00 replacement relay from O'Reilly auto parts. It worked for a short time. Now back using the original relay with added problem. All gauges in dash quit working.No tach,MPH, gas or temp gauges. No lose wire plug connectors.No bad fuses that I can think off. Any fuse just for the gauges ? Did have the airbox out when I first start looking things over.

I just bought a 97 Nissan Maxima. It came with 2 keys 1 key turns the ignition but won’t turn on the car. The second key needs to be inserted and jiggled up and turned quickly in order for the car to start. If not turned quickly the car will not start. I bought the car for my daughter but I Don want her stuck somewhere with the car so I’m Trying to solve the issue. Do you have any ideas?

OSo my fuse is a 10. All the way on the bottom of the left side. ??? It is the only one that doesn’t light up. The grey Inhuit relay I took apart can’t get a reading inside w my test light or on the pins ?????? Help

Can you put a wire from the positive terminal of the battery to the big wire on the coil over of a 97 Nissan Maxima lsx

Hello, I have a European 2001 Nissan maxima 2.0L V6 SE (more closely related to the US Cefiro, I believe) S that suddenly won't start. I notice that I do not have this "inhibit" relay. Do you have any suggestions to where I could otherwise find the starter relay? Cheers

Hi I know this is an old video but I hope you can help me. I have a Maxima 2000, new battery (12.6v), when opening the door the door light turns on and the sound is heard, when opening the switch in accessories it does not turn on the dashboard but if it turns on the aftermarket stereo and the clock (if I turn on the stereo it will turns off). When changing the switch to on it does not start, it turns on the dashboard quickly and turns off everything (clock, stereo, door lights). All the fuses are good, the failure was after leaving the battery disconnected for several days in which a map sensor arrived, change the sensor, connect the battery, when starting the car the dashboard turned on and then everything went off. would you know what it could be?

dear i have the problem with maxima 2008,no crank pin no 2 in Inhibit relay there is no ground , is that pin receive ground from safety switch in transmission ?can i connect this pin to ground directly?

Have a Nissan cube 2009 stuck in limp mode , code p1651 with u1001, I tried some stuff like changing the wire harness and nothing worked keep getting the code after I clear it, the car starts but after running for a little while the code pops up again p1651 str mtr u1001 can comunication and goes into limp mode, ..any advice?
