These 986s have aged quite gracefully. Such a simple and clean design...and they look especially lovely on the M030 suspension kit with 18" wheels. Birds chirping and exhaust ticking away at the end...just great.

I used to own a 75 914-6 and regret ever getting rid of it ,but had to ,kids and and buying a house was priority,but was able to also get me a 986 ,I’m not really into the 911s I love this design cause it looks a lot like the spyder 550 ....new top ,clutch ,IMs ,spark plugs ,AOS ,and minor preventative maintenance and it runs like a beaut !!

The last, proper NFS game. After that the series turned into the full - plastic, super arcadey era of tuned cars, unrealistic driving physics and all kinds of other, useless features. NFS Porsche is brilliant even today (I don't care about the dated graphics at all), and the soundtrack is one of a kind. Great cars, amazing tracks, carrer mode. Good times!

@@rivendeckard7841 i would say hot pursuit 2 was also great (PS2 version at least) even 2010 was pretty good of capturing that essence i would be lying if i said i didnt enjoyed the underground to carbon series but newer NFS s are exactly like FIFA but with cars (pure cashgrab) and of course the essence of the 1st to 5th nfs was lost

I just put the games OST on my iTunes, now I can listen anywhere. My favorite Car company has been Porsche since I’ve touched that game 😁. The Boxter or 911 from those years are my favorite.... even if considered ugly.

I currently drive a 06 Boxter (base 5 speed)--its a fun little car to throw in the corner and hearing NA engine roaring behind you is pretty satisfying specially with the top down.

No Porsche (or BMW, Merc, Audi, etc.) is "affordable". Easy to buy, expensive to maintain and fix. Sometimes VERY! Always set aside $5000-plus/year.

Just bought one.. man the sound of the engine behind your head and those sturdy yet direct and comunicative steering, brake pedal and shift.. you have to try one and buy it. Make sure you save some money for unexpected fixes and you’ll be good to go for many years.

@@Krezo200 it’s not about luck. Checked the engine code to check about the IMS type, frequent maintenance with good oil, checking the oil filter, diagnostic tools to see cams shift every couple of years. Knowledge is the path to youngtimer fun 😉

You can feel the car is lowered. Bad bumps absorption... Almost dangerous ! Other than that, where is the road? It's beautiful !

its a 2.7 not 3.2 the S because of the exhaust type.

in the year 2000 a new Boxster S variant was introduced with a 3.2-litre engine. 2.5 was upgraded to 2.7 and the S type got a 3.2
