@@trancefreak64 they had two hall of fame receivers and a future hall of fame db, I’d hope they would kick the shit out of even the 2020 raiders. How many hall of famers are on the current raiders team? Jerry rice’s playoff game in 2001 vs the Jets is one of the best performances I’ve ever seen from a receiver and the man was almost 40 years old. Jerry Rice + Tim Brown + Jon Gruden + good arm veteran QB + Charles Woodson was a lethal combo and really am embarrassment of riches. The 2020 Raiders are overachievers but lack any of that besides Gruden
As a lifelong Raiders fan. I I read people in the comments asking why can't the Raiders be this good again?. It's simple really... 2018-Present Is Gruden buying the groceries. 1963-2011 Was Al Davis buying the groceries. This particular 1999-2001 run with Jon Gruden at the helm was because of the talent Al Davis attracted across the league. It's simple honestly.
I'm Raider fan but not a Davis fan at all. He was an absolute embarrassment to this team the last 10 years of his life. His pressers with bloodshot eyes an drool running down his chin was a joke.
Oh yeah Davis was a friggin genius..wanted to stick with Jeff George until Gruden demanded that he sign Gannon..Al loved James Jett so much that thankfully it allowed Gruden to go get Rison and then Rice..Al loved Rickey Dudley and wasted the 9th pick in the draft on him and he couldn’t catch a cold..Al loved A.Dorsett and M.Pope who possibly cost us the championship game to Baltimore because they both ran into each other on the play to S.Sharpe that wrecked the game..and then Al traded Gruden and he preceded to humiliate us all in the Super Bowl the very next year(and all the pucks we got for him sucked)and we’ve basically been a laughing stock ever since..other than that yeah AL was great 🤦🏻♂️
I remember hating the Cowboys more than any team at the time. The Tuck Rule came in the playoffs later this year. The Raiders were favored by about -18 so winning a close 1 was disappointing to me. That said this is the last time the Raiders beat Dallas. The Raiders calling card back then was their dominance not only within the division but also these interconference games. This feels like forever ago.
Iv lived in L.A., Ca. & seen The Dallas Cowboys visit the (L A. Raiders) at the L.A. Memorial Coliseums back in 1989& 1990 .A win & a lost with the Aikman(Rookie) , Emmitt smith & Michael Irvin& the other great cowboys players back then. How about them Boys !⛅📹📷🎥💻🎹🎶🎵🏈🍸🍻🍺🍴🍷🍹🍕✈🎫🇺🇸
@Rickyacosta the only time the cowgirls visited the Coliseum was 92 unfortunately they won that game, OAKLAND!!!!!! RAiDERS!!!! Faeva!!!!! Till we return home!!!! Were we only belong!!!!...🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🐘🦏🦍🐼🐅🐬🐳
Maybe the weirdest career ever. He had that huge playoff game for Indy vs the chargers but then basically did mostly blocking for Gruden in Oakland with only occasional catches and carries. It’s like he started as a Mike Allstott type and morphed into Lorenzo Neal type.
Nah, sorry. I only post Raider wins on here. I did post a couple of Raider games they lost but was competitive on my other channel: "Classic NFL Football" and my twitter for that is: @ClassicNFLFB
Yeah who cares about bill romanowski last game aren't you tired enough of WATCHING the raiders lose that you want to watch old reruns of losses....geeze!!!
Gannon had total command of this team and the attitude with pocket awareness and always looked to left to right, right to left giving time for play to develop...way to many steps for Carr to follow.
Why is it that every game you watch From the raiders they are ahead by a monster lead and then in the 4th quarter they end up falling apart and let the other team come back and make a game of it I watch the Patriots game and the raiders had the game in the bag and they kick the ball back to Patriots and let them SCORE and gave them a chance....over STUPID stuff like fumbles it's almost like it's done on purpose for betting lines the money bet...I think that's what it is....that fumble by Charlie was fake all he had to do is fall on it instead of chasing it for 2 hours an infant could of caught up with the ball.
