Thanks for watching! It wasn't too bad, hardest part was getting it up onto the atv jack underneath there. If I could have lifted the truck up a few more inches I would have been able to slide it right under there on the jack. Hope everything goes well for you also!

@@u.p.tinkering That's my plan..get the beast high enough to work that big jack. I'm curious about the rachet strapping..what did you anchor to on top to pull it up?

@billcat1840 I just ran the strap around the trans and around the jack and hooked it to itself. That way it held it to the jack but I could still wiggle it around to where I needed it.

Did you install the torque converter all the way into the trans? It can seem like its all the way on and not be. I always put the torque converter on first before installing to make sure it's fully seated" can be finicky to get all the different sets of splines to line up" then when you put the transmission to the engine you only have to get the button of the converter into the crankshaft, so much easier. I think you might not be fully seated. if the converter binds up when you tighten those three bolts it is not seated and you could damage the pump. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

I always replace the transmission cooler and flush the lines. The only issue with my old transmission was the reverse band wore completely out leaving me with no reverse. I ordered my new one from shift-rite with upgraded internals and the common issues resolved. Like upgraded overdrive snap ring, and reverse piston. Thanks for watching!

Mine was missing when I got this truck years ago. From what I am finding you need to remove the four 9/16 bell housing bolts and back off the two 5/8" bolts just enough to let it drop down.There is a stud you have to remove too by using two nuts and backing the stud out. I am assuming after removing the starter and bracket near it. Hope that helps ya. Thanks for watching!
