but you didn't say if you fixed the problem... POS video IMHO lots of little tips but I am in the same position everything looks good but crank no start after trying everything... was it fuel pressure? was it the module or the pump?
My 2002 Ford Explorer just yday it wouldn’t start. The key turns on the battery but doesn’t start my truck. I was literally driving the whole day parked to hoop & when I tried to leave. No start but the lights come on when I turn key. No sound crank or nothing tho. Just a beep after I turn the key all the way back to start it.
So i have 2004 explorer i change the fuel that's what i was told still nothing she's cranking but does want to start i have a code P0174 and all this misfire codes even i change the spark plugs, wires and coil pack idk please help
And this case yes was the fuel pump! Went I first try to start the engine run but with misfired because of lack of fuel delivery! In this case the owner change the fuel pump and fixed the problem!
I have a 2003 Mercury Mountaineer that cranks but wont start. Its seems like all the electrical stuff is working. It doesnt show bad signs of starter or FP issues. It really just sounds like it wants to start up but cant. Help me out?
Cooley_THREAT Hi first you want too know if the fuel pump is working and this is the test you want too do! With someone by the fuel filer neck “use a funnel “ and by you on the driver Side cycle the ignition switch ON to OFF the person who is by the filer neck should hear the fuel pump working for two seconds and then stop! That’s is known in the technician world.. the 2 seconds fuel prime!!! Is that pass the test the next Test is by cranking the engine with a fully Battery charged...went you are constantly cranking watch the check engine light! If the light turned ON and then turned OFF means is seen the crankshaft position signal..! If the light turned On and stay On went you are constantly cranking means that the crankshaft position signal is missing and will not fire the Coils and injector pulse! That’s unique from FORD product Mercury should be the same! Let me know!
grimvaper 69 The Fix in this Ford in fact was a bad fuel pump! My approach in the troubleshooting was to watch RPM went cranking and watch the electronic fuel pressure regulator all this in Data process but to my surprise went I try the engine runs!! So yes! A bad fuel pump sometimes went cool down then will run...many variables Bután this case bad brushes in the fuel Pump motor is most likely to have this type of symptoms...
I have a 2002 for Escape that shut off on me while driving and the lights and everything still turn on, but it won’t start at all. Makes kind of a locking noise when I try to start it.
I can tell you right now, my FE sport is in the shop and had those symptoms and it ended up being the electronic fuel pump module!! $750 repair job! No fuel pressure.
Your Video is very poor, you just arrived and connected your scanner without doing a visual inspection, at least in the end, I don't know if you will fix it or not.
Hey I have a 98 explorer fuel pressure is good pump and filter is new so as the fuel pressure regulator but no start when I spray starter fluid it starts what do you think and the crankshaft position sensor is good I replaced it a while ago and the fuel cutoff switch is ok and the relay is good
@@3kingparadise754 I found it has no injector pulse so I replaced the pcm and still nothing and the is power to the injectors so I think there is a bad wire some where I'm not really to sure but when I plugged in the noid light test there was no pluse
My gauges go up when I try to crank it but dont start ...and started doing this after I changed the transceiver..what could be the problem? No theft light is blinking anymore
Lance Johnson So let me get this straight you crank the engine and engine crank okay and engine doesn’t run ... No anti-theft light flashing! Right!! If that’s is the case! First I will look 👀 at the check engine light and watch it went I’m cranking the engine!should go on and then off after you crank the engine for like 15 seconds! If that pass the test! Will look 👀 for spark ⚡️! Then for fuel.. know you change the transceiver one ☝️ thing to keep in mind is all ways Ford like to see two keys went you do anything related with anti-theft ... so tray one key 🔑 and then tray the other key!
my 1997 Ford Explorer has no crack no lights nothing. Fuses seem Ok, any guess what it could be. Was driving fine before. Parked it at night in the morning would not start.
iconaclastor well my guess in your situation is a main fuse that's goes in the fuse box on the engine compartment! The reason way is blown that's another trouble shooting! The reason way I believe is a main fuse is because you don't have no lights no crank probably no lights in the instrument panel is a complete dead situation! The other guess it will be a short battery! Good luck my friend! Let me know if you find something else!!!
DON'T buy unless one of us that's giving you a pile of receipts of all new replacement PART'S, runs great, mine is called the (MONEY PIT) Its that for sure, runs great and sucks gas down or running great but getting great MPG and bam, check engine lights go off, this goes wrong, that goes bad, wait you need tires to pass INSPECTION and getting ready to do that. DON'T CARE and it seems to last longer. DON'T know why. Bought and oil change 3 weeks ago, use only police synthetic oil with a Bosch fully synthetic oil filter that's good for 15000 miles, I don't go 15,000 miles on an oil change I'm lucky to go 7500 miles on an oil change just because I don't like going more than 6 months Max, that's because all engines will get condensation buildup and you should do it every 3 months no matter what but because I drive mainly City every day that I don't put many miles on but it runs daily and I'm checking my oil all the time and once the light came on in that was the very first oil change I've done when I first bought my vehicle. It's never gotten ball 40% to change oil which some people think I'm wasting my money but water and oil doesn't mix and not good for engines. Plus it rots things out from the inside out on aluminum parts and you end up with oil leaks.
@@williamarden5441 Change the fluid and filter. Then get a reflash. The transmission electronic thermostat opens 10°f too high. The reflash corrects this. Your fluid is likely bad from overheating.
My explorer 2001 was parked for about 2 months I then I drove it for about 20 minutes I parked in my lot then I came today I turned on them I turned off I was trying to turn it on again and then I didn’t turn on now Cranks but won’t starts anymore who can help me with that
Jose Lopez okay! Unique by Ford doo this test! Continues Cranking the engine and a the same time watching the check engine light 💡 if the the light turns ON and then turn OFF means the engine computer is seen the CKP sensor (crankshaft position sensor) if you continues Cranking the engine and the check engine light 💡 stay ON at all time you Cranking the engine! Means the CKP sensor is damage or the wire connection!
Luis Garcia That’s is probably call shudder noise or vibration from the Transmission and is very common went we talking about Ford product! So see if you have any DTC and we go from there....
C. M. Usually you go in new car by DATA and check idle the computer is program and compare with the actual idle the engine is running... in % should be near 6, to 8 % in Voltage 1 volt or 0.89 volts
@@PeteSambolin Thanks I meant like a spec sheet that states what all data should read. Both ltft are around -9 or -10. When Chilton or Haynes manual state what iat or iac, what tps should state, what o2 sensor readings should be.
JUAN MARCOS okay I just went there too see in DATA PIDs way this explorer won't start! To my surprise went I crank the engine the engine run! After a few minutes the engine stall and don't want too run again! In little time was running I notice the engine misfire... No DTC DATA PIDs look normal this explorer needs the fuel pump! NOTE: some of this Ford Have what the call a FUEL DRIVER MODULE in this year and model this is NOT equipped...!
Scot S Yes you can do that test but you have to be carful not to spray the Mass Air Flow sensor! Way? Because it can damage the sensor! In this particular case was intermittent no start situation that's way I want to see the process Data from my scanner went I crank the engine! Went I did the test to my surprise the engine run but not enough fuel pressure engine was running very bad...
Scot S well the good thing about ford you have a valve port access to do a test ... But you say that you spray starter fluid and no reaction !? Write! Well what you need for a engine to run... You need Air , spark, fuel, compression... Then you have to make your timing is correct ... Many years of experience doing this went you crank an engine you know by the sound if the engine is out timing... If is turning too fast or if crank stop an continue cranking ... Some times went they crank the engine too mush ! You have the condition they call cylinder wash with the fuel and then is no compression the fix is to put two spoon of engine oil in each cylinder then crank the engine should start...
Scot S Another Test I want you too do is to crank the engine at the same time watch the check engine light if the light go OFF went you continue cranking the engine is because the computer is seen engine RPM know if the check engine light estate solid ON went you continue cranking is because the CKP failed.. that’s the crankshaft position sensor
Scot S The other thing I want you to check is want they call the Inertia Shut-OFF Fuel Switch the location in is in the Right kick Panel... take closer look have a round bottom in the top! If you press the bottom in and it goes in well that right there was your problem.. if the bottom doesn’t go in is because that’s the ON position that’s okay!
Alfredo Sanchez Hi 👋 in this particular case study was in fact the fuel pump! Went I went to check the problem because I talk to the owner and he explained the symptoms I went directly to check to see if I have in DATA parameters in my scanner for RPM numbers changing went I crank the engine and to my surprise the engine crank and run! So it’s was running very bad.. because of a low fuel pressure!
I have a 2000 explorer start for couple minutes and turns off we did everything and we cannot duct yet do u have a phone number so I can explain u all what we did ?
So i have 2004 explorer i change the fuel that's what i was told still nothing she's cranking but does want to start i have a code P0174 and all this misfire codes even i change the spark plugs, wires and coil pack idk please help
