Pretty cool. I started with a K20Z3 and 6 speed LSD transmission swap. Neuspeed springs and 16" wheels and tires. Done.

Man I had this exact car brand new in 2002. Thing is, I was disappointed in the performance of it at a street race o went too. Ended up trading it in for an 03 GTI that I still have. I might have to get one of these again, being there are so many things for them now

Aside from the kenards and white wheels, this was a nice build. I don't like anything "stock" but the OEM wheels at the end really looked great.

i expected more perfomans mods. Dosent need to be turbo but more simple mods for enigne. I cant call u ricer or anything like that since those cars handle pretty well even stock. I hope u get more perfomans mods over cosmetic mods but still good job and keep doing what u love and like whit it i cant really hate it hahah

Hey man. Great video and a big inspiration to me as well. Onto owning my 3rd EP3. I currently have 2 . An 04 and 03 my other was an 02 which was totaled :( . Your car looked amazing and i think my fave was with the 8th Gen OEM wheels. Don't stop your love for cars. Keep pushing ! Getting to my restorations now....but moneyyy 😑😤 Haha

It looked great in all the different stages. The taillight mod was great looking. I like the preface lift tail lights over the 04-05 but if I get the 05 I am looking at I might do that mod. Nice recap video of your EP3

That thing looks so damn good at the end phases I love these things but is it slow? seems like a lot less torque. turbo would be the icing on the cake. Run it until it pops than k24 swap or k20 a2. lol I have a 07 fg2 with a greddy turbo kit, 1000cc injectors, Hondata tune etc. But definitely Not as much visual modifications on mine . I’m on stock wheels stock suspension. Lol sleeper to The max but it’s clean. I want an ep3 all motor for a reliable daily but the engine and slowness deters me

They are sluggish with the k20a3. Turbo/k24 swap would definitely make this thing alot more enjoyable. Besides that, the k20a3 can take the beatings and only takes 87 at the pump, so for a daily, cant complain

It's a type r thing. Lol. I'm just kidding. Yea, the bumper does have to be removed to remove the headlight. I just put the bumper back to take this picture.

great video, i got same car and planning to replace the front bumper by CTR bumper from UK, any idea if it is direct fit ?

Thank You! If you have the USDM ep3, you'll either need to cut your front crash beam or remove it in order to fit the CTR bumper, as the CTR bumper sits closer to the body. I opted to cut mine instead(trimming both ends). Besides that, it fits right up.

6 more years then we can start importing the type r to the states. i literally already have funds set aside for this as it's my favorite civic. currently running my 02 ep3 but like you said, wanting that official difference of the premmy type r and to be able to work on it.

Hey man, love the transformation. Just a quick question. Did you clear coat over the red acrylic on your tail lights? How was the paint holding up? I heard acrylic doesn't do well in sunlight.

I didn't clear coat mine, and it lasted well over a year (more or less) with minimal fading. But my car was parked in the garage most of the time so that was probably why. I would recommend clear coating it to make it more durable because, like you said, acrylic paint doesn't do well with exposure to sunlight and will eventually fade over time without proper application/care.

I dont recall what I did for the headlight. But for the taillight, you need to to wire in the pigtails because 04-05 is different from 02-03.

Thanks! If i recall correctly youll need new wires because the 04-05 have separte bulbs for low and high beams.

No. Those are red inserts that I sewed onto the seat. I got the fabric at my local arts and craft store.

Thanks. Mine was the OEM Type R Side Skirts, so I used sticky clips on the sides and made a custom bracket on the rear towards the wheel well.

Looks-wise the car went from stock up to cool then back down to crazy. I would change the wheels too but definitely not to white. The taillights and tailpipe are nice. Overall it's a great job, but those white rims smh. The last ones were better. I commented before seeing the whole thing. 😅

If the one you have doesnt have holes then its not the mugen lip, rather the replica one that states its a "mugen" lip replica

Not too sure. These aren't the type r seats. These are the stock usdm oem seats that i custom fabbed.

I removed the OEM seat cover and unstitched the middle portion out and re-sew the new material on. Then I put everything back together on the OEM sea in reverse order.
