No need your comment was good enough . I tried hte coffee thing and I felt guilty taking it. I am just happy to help why we do not see a thanks on my channel.
Thank you for the respond, can I bothering you with one more question? what is the parts number i need for buy this D blinking sensor for my Honda CR-V 2003 mod 4 WD gasoline 1988 cc 150 hp, I`m from Norway but I go to Thailand for Christmas holiday next week where I have my second Honda CRV who need this sensor or sensors? Thank you in advance Steinar
It didn't fix it because you replaced the wrong sensor. The part you had was the correct 3rd sensor, the one you replaced was the 2nd sensor (green). The 3rd sensor (gray) is just in front of the transmission fluid dipstick, underneath the battery tray. It can be accessed by removing the battery and tray, or removing the drip guards and coming in from the bottom.
tonyavila avila Oh man I been there last year or before on vacation Loved it. thank you of what I remember but confused been to 8 islands on acruise is it the pico volcano? there?
my be a important point will be that D light can be blinking for some other reasons, mine is a 2006 civic 1.8 it had a u0121 code (ABS module lost comunication). the issue was two broken wires at the abs module. the CAM signals which means communication in betwing ECM and ABS modules
Hi fishycomics, I enjoy your videos. I was wondering if you still have your crv and how many miles does the odometer read now or at last use. I own one as well and would appreciate the comparison. Thank You.
Nick Sin Thanks FISH. If you can share with me what crapped out on the crv at the end that led you to give it up, that would be interesting. Have a good day, Nick
😎You are do a great job with showing all the people on here trying to save money fixing it there self .But you are calling this part by the wrong name and number. This part that you are telling us about is called a (Pressure Switch) 😉that mounts on the top of the transmission under the airfield like you have showed us.👍-Code:MCVA:38psi:Green:Flat Body .Price on this part is around $89.99 the other pressure Switchs on this transmission are a even higher in price up to $200.00 something .It is not called a ( third clutch transmission sensor).😯
Search the following proven good RU-vid video instead: Error Code: P0843 REPLACE 2nd clutch transmission fluid pressure switch. (Video is by Thurmond Goins) I used it on a 2009 CRV and it's proper instruction. Good luck!
In addition, be prepared to enter your anti theft radio code into the radio to play it after the battery is reconnected to the engine. This code can be found on a card (business card sized) within your owner's manual. Good luck!
I know you added the red note on your mistake but this note doesn't show up on a tablet (Samsung Tab S). A better way is just to grab the original video and add the note in your video with whatever video editor you used then reupload it. Very misleading and confusing video. I then reloaded this video on the PC then I saw the red note. Other then that, thanks for spending the time to making this repair video.
Top of details I MADE A MISTAKE doesn't work for videophonics right? he he he you didn;t see that??? thank you not offended and great advice but youtube should not separate mobile, desktop and other.
D is a transmission channel bank, if it is 1, 2, 3, or 4, these moduls can get replaced, by deciding which one it is for me I did the 3rd one, and shown the wrong one done
Ok I got a blinking D and code P0848 which is a transmission fluid pressure switch. I brought the part and tried to change it. Initially it didn't flash anymore, but about 30 miles later the blinking D came back. Do I also need to change the ATF fluid and do a 3x drain and refill? I know for a fact the last person who changed it didn't use the Honda genuine brand-just a Castrol Honda approved brand. Does that matter? Thanks for your help.
If I recall I changed the wrong clutch. so I went back and corrected. so make sure you did the right one, and not the wrong one. Can easily be missed. Castrol should be fine. I use that all the time for Oil, but transmission I read Castrol is the replacement. Do not let the Hondaforum tell you different Lol I make sure you got the right part, right one and cleared the code. transmission fluid does not need to be changed. The sensor touches the fluid. So if you feel it should I do it for Peace of mind. One change be fine. If a code comes on, you can clear it, and normally they will not return, If trouble is present, they will return after many miles, and work on each 50 miles. If they keep coming on every 50 miles you truly have a trouble.
I have a 2003 civic cvt that failed on me while driving on d making a left turn into a drive way the car gave up on me and didn't fully entered drive way the tranny slipped and moments later the d gear light started flashing. Help please
I have the same problem. Honda CRV 2002 4wd. Drive light blinking. And also it only stays on 3rd. Dosent want to take 2 ND or 1 st when driving. Advance and auto zone they said, don't sale that sensor. Can you please help me with any info.
You should probably delete this video since it is completely misleading. This video shows replacement of 2nd clutch sensor NOT 3rd - and will NOT solve a PO845 code.
I do not think anyone thinks the entire video is wrong by what you wrote in red. The entire video is wrong. I replaced the wrong switch because of the video and a person can ruin the transmission putting a 3rd switch in the 2nd switch spot.
Ok, So I have an 03' CR-V with the same issue. I am going to replace the 3rd clutch sensor? I found them online and they are different colors. Silver for lower and green for Upper. Is it the lower one that needs changing when the light flashes?
on my situation flashin D comes sometime about 2-8 seconds, at the time transmission stops working and sometimes car engine deads 1-2 second and starts itself when i,m driving, my mechanic check with odd and everything wos good, what could it be?
+fishycomics i dont know scaner cant read anything bad, i drive car every day, sometimes 1 weeks wont do anything wrong, sometimes in 15 minute do it 8-10 times
+Roderick Torres Ever read a descripton No offense simply overlooked see hereI will 100% confirm fix, as I must put 150 miles on car. Driven 17 miles Light reappears with P0845. Be advised and use discretion when doing a repair, this did not correct my issue as Gh Honda confirmed it would..MANUFACTURER Honda, 28610-Ry-003ANY Honda ONLINE SHOP $35.00ATF-Z1 3 qt change is an option, as I was due I changed out anyway.I shall get a check engine light on every 40 miles due to a P0420 code known as cat sensors are under a year old, and will repeat the change only and only prior to inspection time. due to todays additives that prematurely wore the cat out.
i have 2002 honda crv and and have same problam but code is p0780 (shift malfunction)and can somebody tell me if i change this sensor the problam wiil be solve? or what i can do
@@fishycomics then how to understand what the reason is, there can be many reasons, to change all the details related to d, if I drive in o/d mode d does not blink, how to understand what has gone wrong
@@gorgo9208 four sensors on the Trans I do not recall each P code, the Blinking D is in the Manual may not offer much advice there but a start, For me I start with a ATF-Z1 change, find each sensor and clean, can be a simple clog, there is a filter for the transmission inside not many do change out. if advice is needed get with a shop technician, pull them to the side to spend a few minutes they are helpful get them a cup of coffee and chat.
